Paris is photogenic at nearly every turn – it can’t help it. The city is awe-inspiring and a photographer’s paradise. If you want to Instagram at every corner – it’s quite possible. But some spots are better than others which is why – after many, many trips to Paris as the founder of En Route to Rêverie – I have put together the Most Instagram Worthy Spots in Paris.

The Tuleries

The gardens that span out from the Louvre are stunning in Spring, Summer and Fall and mysteriously beautiful during Winter. If you can go early, head to the outer part of the park that runs alongside Rue de Rivoli. You’ll see pristine tree paths like the above that’ll have you wondering if you’re still in a city or heading up to a chateaux in the countryside. 75001

La Tour Eiffel

I’m not sure you can take a photo of the Eiffel Tower from a bad angle but there are certainly places to get the best shots. The Trocadero is one of those and I highly recommend going before 9am. I shot photos there for upcoming outfits and it was already bustling at 9 so if you want to really take it in and avoid the crowds for a good Instagram shot, you should awake early. Other good spots to see the tower are from a Bateaux Mouche ride, on Avenue des Camoens, from Quai Branly and from Pont de Bir-Hakeim. 75016

Place Vendôme

Famed for being home to the Paris Ritz Carlton and some of the most luxurious shops, Place Vendôme was under construction upon my most recent visit but it’s still worth a visit for the pristine exterior shots of the stores such as the one I captured of Chanel above. 18 Place Vendôme, 75001

Musée d’Orsay

The iconic train station turned museum has magnificent clock towers that make for beautiful photos. Head to the second floor and shoot the interior of the station as it spans over some of the world’s most precious art. Then head to the cafe and get up close and personal with the clock faces which will provide a beautiful silhouette of whatever stands in front of it. 1 Rue de la Légion d’Honneur, 75007

Louvre

Visiting the Louvre during the day will almost certainly never net in a worthwhile Instagram but if you go after the museum has closed and the sun is setting, you’ll not only be entertained by a beautiful light show over I.M. Pei’s pyramid, but you can get wonderful shots of the Louvre’s interior structure and of course the pyramid. 75001

Notre Dame

Beautiful from so many angles, I like to view the church best during the day from The Petit Pont or early in the morning or evening from the Pont de l’Archeveche which is at the back end of the island Notre Dame sits on. 6 Parvis Notre-Dame – Pl. Jean-Paul II, 75004

Luxembourg Gardens

This is one of my favorite spots in Paris. It is so peaceful despite a flurry of activity always going on. The palace on site is always stunning with its surrounding gardens and it is the ideal spot to wander as you start or finish your day. Photograph the sweet iconic green chairs or the palace with its florals peeking out.

Food

Season

I had lunch on our last day in Paris at this beautiful eatery that is filled with natural light. Grab a table next to the windows and be able to shoot the gorgeous fresh pressed juices and delicious avocado toast and quinoa salads. 1 Rue Charles-François Dupuis, 75003

Ob La Di

My friend Mary turned me onto this place for its beautiful floor and equally beautiful hand crafted coffees. Grab a stool near the door and utilize the darling menus or floral arrangement to stage the perfect coffee shot. 54 Rue de Saintonge, 75003

Boot Cafe

I was amazed at how small Boot Cafe was! Only two tiny tables but so much to look at and use for your photo at this place. I took the above as I enjoyed my daily noisette. 19 Rue du Pont aux Choux, 75003

Ladurée Saint Germain

The original Ladurée is on the Champs Elysee and you can expect to wait at least 45 minutes in line to score your macarons. I highly recommend getting your fix at the smaller, more quaint and far less crowded Saint Germain outpost of this cult favorite. The light inside the store isn’t conducive to photos so I recommend buying one of the darling boxes of macarons and staging your photo outdoors. 21 Rue Bonaparte, 75006

Secco

The most instagram-worthy boulangerie would be Secco in my book. There are several locations but the above is the one in the 7eme arrondisement on the way to the Rodin museum. 31 Rue de Varenne, 75007

Out and About

Céline headquarters

Paris offers endless Instagram opportunities of great doors but some of the best I saw happen to be home to Celine at 16 rue Vivienne as seen above. Head to the nearby Palais Royal after for additional photo opps. 16 Rue Vivienne, 75002

Doors of the Marais

Speaking of doors, the Marais is home to some of the best to photograph. Seek out your desirable color palette and have fun with them like seen in this image. Mary also has loads of inspiration for you on her Instagram. 75003 and 75004

Hotel Relais Saint-Germain

This hotel in Saint Germain takes my breath away a little bit every time I see it. The perfectly placed flower boxes against a pristine white washed building are a dose of Parisian excellence. 9 Carrefour de l’Odéon, 75006

Cafe de Flore

I’ve never eaten at this famous eatery but it’s beautiful on the outside and holds such history that it is iconic in Paris. Cafes are one of my favorite things to shoot all over Paris. They provide an air of romance and peace and tradition. Stand across the street early in the morning and capture the glow from within and remember to look up! Many have beautiful architecture or florals that make them all the more appealing. 6 Place Saint-Germain des Prés, 75006

Rue Cler

This tiny street is often without cars on it and boasts some of the best shops to prepare for the ideal picnic at the Champs des Mars by the Eiffel Tower. It’s also home to one of my favorite flower stands but you can find dozens of beautiful shots here at the small purveyors of fine goods. Rue Cler, 75007

Merci

This shop is three stories of great finds but the little mini cooper emblazoned with ‘Merci’ on the license plate is what everyone takes a photo of at this spot. Boulevard Beaumarchais, 75003

Maison Rose

Perhaps the prettiest building in Montmartre is Maison Rose. It’s perfectly pink on the outside (not to mention they serve a delightful Sancerre alongside some great people watching.) Grab a photo on the hill just above the restaurant or at one of the tables lining the sidewalk. 2 Rue de l’Abreuvoir, 75018

Other spots not to miss include Galeries Lafayette, The Palais Royal and Ile Saint Louis.
