How was your guys’ weekend? Mine ended up being very low key as I woke up with a bad headache Saturday so after getting in a work out (which sometimes help my migraines), I cancelled my plans and stayed in to try and beat the pain. Sunday I went to a Rumble class and then visited with my godmother before buckling down to do some work before the weekend ended. I have a crazy busy week coming up so it was nice to largely unplug from social media and just get in some downtime after what’s been a seemingly non-stop few weeks!
Onto this ensemble…! Last week’s heat wave had me realizing how few grab + go dresses were hanging in my wardrobe at the present moment. If you live somewhere warm you’ll know the kind. The kind you can use and abuse all summer on the super hot days and not worry about them. They are low maintenance in the best way possible.
I have occasions all summer where these dresses are needed and some have to be more dressy and others more casual for steamy days spent running around the city.
When I spotted this dress that had an air of Self Portrait but at a fraction of the price, I instantly added it to my cart. It’s perfect for baby showers and girls brunches and I love the shape of it.
Over the years ASOS has become my go-to for inexpensive dresses to get me through 3+ months of hot days and humidity. I rounded up some of my current favorites from the site below in case you’re in a similar situation wanting some good, new dresses that won’t break the bank! They are all under $125 and most are under $75.
In case you’re not familiar with ASOS, I will caution it takes some getting used to their sizing. I’m a 6 in all US designers but tend to be an “8 US” in both ASOS and Topshop. Since they have easy and free returns if you’re not sure about sizing, I recommend ordering two sizes. Also Mango is another great option with loads of cute and affordable dresses at the moment and in other budget friendly news, I completely updated the Under $100 picks in the Shop!
May your Monday be short + sweet!

I love this one, this one and this one in particular!
p.s. dresses to wear to weddings and cute pieces to wear for the 4th of July.
I adore ASOS dresses! I have been in two weddings in the past two years and for both, we got the dresses on ASOS! So affordable and they still look chic and elegant. I tell everyone who is about to be a bridesmaid/bride to check it out!
YES! I have a friend who was recently in a wedding where the bride had them buy their bridesmaid dresses from ASOS in one color palette and they all looked so great!!
