Weekend Casual Athleisure Outfit I wit & whimsy

A Casual Winter Weekend Outfit

If you’re someone who loves to stay in athleisure for the weekend, this look is for you! It features leggings but in a more elevated way so you’re ready for whatever the weekend holds and not overly casual.

I bought these leggings for my trip to Australia and ended up loving them. I had heard good things about the brand but never liked anything I bought till I finally sized down (per a store employee’s guidance) and I absolutely love that this pair has the slightest sheen to them making more elevated than your typical legging. They tuck everything in and perform super well – I’m never yanking at them to hoist them up.

How was your weekend? Were you off yesterday for MLK Day? I would have been wearing this exact look over the weekend (I’ve worn it three times since taking the photos – ha!) but instead I was largely laying low at home. Also, I had been feeling a cold creeping on and wanted to take every precaution to try and stay healthy. So, I decided to prioritize rest over social plans. I did feel up for a couple of work outs and dinner out with friends on Sunday evening but otherwise I was in my pajamas on my couch or in my bed. And I have a very busy week this week so wanted to ensure I don’t get any worse. I loaded up on echinacea, Vitamin C, fluids, tea with honey and lemon, Zicam, Wellness Formula, hot baths and lots of sleep. Here’s hoping I’ve got this thing beat!

Everlane Beanie + Sweater (similar here) + Coat (c/o; wearing M and Size 4) // Alo Leggings (Sized down to Size Small per brand guidance) // APL Sneakers (sized down half a size to 6.5)

p.s. another casual weekend-ready outfit and things I’ve bought and loved recently.

Hi! I know this is an old post, but saw that you had a winter outfit on with APL sneakers. I live in a 4 season climate with cold winters in Europe and was wondering which (if any) APL shoe you recommend for winter. Were your feet cold wearing them? Cute outfit!

I wore them in Winter without socks but never for long period of times as I wouldn’t ever choose sneakers to do so for practicality purposes! They’re not a warm shoe as most sneakers aren’t! Hope that helps!
