I am so excited to share today’s post as it is celebrating the release of a very fun collaboration! Lydia of The Illustrated Life and I teamed up to create my dream stationery that is inspired by my love of Paris and my love of a good croissant. Introducing wit & whimsy x The Illustrated Life Stationery

A bit of background on how the collaboration came to life:

When quarantine began due to the Coronavirus, I headed to Etsy to buy cards to send to friends. Ever since my first job in high school at a stationery store I have loved sending snail mail. Everyone loves getting a handwritten note!

I happened to find Lydia’s shop The Illustrated Life on Etsy and instantly fell in love with her whimsical, feminine and often French-inspired illustrations. I promptly ordered several cards to send to friends and then a few days later happened to see an account with a familiar sounding name like a photo of mine on Instagram. It turned out Lydia had been an Instagram follower of mine all along! We connected over DM and then began to dream up working on something that would be the exact kind of French-inspired card I’m always hunting for for my snail mail.

I gave Lydia a few ideas as far as the illustration and asked for a flat card (my personal favorite) and for Bonjour! to be incorporated as well as the option to personalize. What she came back to me with was true Parisian perfection.

I am utterly delighted with how the final cards turned out! Lydia did the most darling French café inspired awning stripe on the back which totally makes it in my opinion and instantly reminded me of my one of my favorite photos of mine in Paris taken in front of a favorite café of mine, Le Bonapart.
