When I first attended New York Fashion Week I was still living in San Francisco and it was 2010. The shows were at a very small venue at Bryant Park and street style hadn’t yet hit the internet in full force. It is kind of refreshing to think of how Fashion Week once was because nowadays it has taken on a whole new life.

I do however still love to see how trends from previous seasons of runway shows transcend upon New York City all across the streets for seven hectic yet special days. At February’s Fashion Week this year, designers were showcasing their looks for this Fall and therefore burgundy was everywhere (see this post for more inspiration). As were playful prints, so today I’m pairing the two trends with this look.

I’m not one for wrap dresses usually but this particular one actually worked on my body type (praise!) and I love it paired with colorful accessories (not to mention it is only $55!). These BCBGeneration pumps are such a great price point and the studs give them an extra detail that makes them stand out when paired with neutrals. If there’s anything that street style teaches you…it’s that the devil is in the details.
