You know those items you impulse bought that ended up having major staying power in your wardrobe? That’s this jacket for me. I’ve had it for over 6 years – originally buying it when I lived in San Francisco! It’s such a great lightweight piece for this time of year and I love the look of a striped tee (favorites including this one are here and here) with a surplus jacket for weekends. This whole look is so easy to put together and perfect for running errands or meeting your girlfriends for brunch.
Bekka and I shot these photos up in Central Park one early morning when it is just so peaceful. It still has me in awe many times when I visit Central Park because I can’t believe such a beautiful, serene…and huge landscape remains amidst such a hustling and bustling big city! If you’re ever visiting New York, I highly recommend picking up a coffee to go at Sarabeth’s (on Central Park South) in the morning with a friend and taking a stroll. It’s so much more calm than on the weekends. Some of my favorite memories of living in the city have actually been made in the park. From long walks with friends to over the top picnics with secret wine stashes to an afternoon with my brother spent catching up and reading. It’s a magical oasis in the concrete jungle no doubt.

The Adored Life
It was my birthday present to myself 2 years ago and I still use it SO much. It’s an investment piece but I highly recommend it. The red tends to sell out a lot but it may come back 🙂 Thanks so much for the comment love, Alissa!
Love this simple look – my favorite type of posts!!
So glad to hear that, Annie! More to come like this (The striped tee addiction is real!)
