Is it truly only Thursday? I feel like I’ve lived two weeks just since Monday! New President-elects, new train lines in New York (the W!?) and all around just a manic week that has seemed to go by in a flash but somehow also slow down time. Am I the only one feeling this way!? After staying up till 3:30AM the night of the election, I was pretty much a (functioning) zombie yesterday and I feel like I could use one solid, long hibernation nap right about now…But I digress.
Today’s outfit is another take on tonal dressing – this time with blues and grays.
I loved these boots so much I actually got them in a second color recently because I love how they elongate the legs and while they have a higher heel – they are com-for-table! You guys know I love me over the knee boots (exhibit A, exhibit B) for their ease of looking put together even if you’ve only managed to throw on mascara + a lip along with a sweater and jeans. Sometimes, on certain days, you just can’t.
This gray sweater is the perfect weight for no-coat kind of weather like we’ve had this week in New York and I’ve rounded up 20 other cozy knits to get you through the next few months in the widget below. I particularly love the back on this one, the side detail on this one and the price + color options of this one. When the temperatures drop, I’ll be re-wearing this look and topping it with my favorite hooded cape (now on sale!)
Also, in somewhat related news to yesterday’s gift guide, BaubleBar just launched a 30% off personalization sale! (ps. if you have feedback on this year’s gift guide formats, I’d love to hear it! Comment and/or email me!)
May we all get through today and to Friday in record time :). xx
