As I mentioned in this post, fall is my all-time favorite time of the year. It also happens to be my favorite time of the year to get dressed. I live for sweater and boot season and the return to layering.
Over-the-knee boots became one of my favorite styles last year after I purchased the Stuart Weitzman Lowland boots (styled here, here) and wore them multiple times every.single.week (gotta get that cost per wear, am I right?). They are so comfortable and go with everything. I now own the black + walnut suede colors so a girl never has to limit her outfit options – HA!
Whenever this time of year rolls around I also tend to gravitate to pieces in the Bordeaux/burgundy shade and with how much black I wear year round, I knew these Stuart Weitzman Highstreet boots would really be some showstoppers in my wardrobe. I don’t own anything like them and I love how striking they look against black. Next I’m going to style them with this oversized, cozy sweater dress that I own but also think the Bordeaux color will be beautiful against all gray (I tend to do a lot of monochromatic dressing this time of year).
This heeled OTK boot is part of Stuart Weitzman’s FW16 collection and with all the walking I do around the city, I know I’ll appreciate the block heel it features. Stuart Weitzman over-the-knee boots also happen to be the best for travel because the shaft is collapsible, meaning it won’t take up a ton of room in your suitcase. You can find your best boot with a new Compare Tool at StuartWeitzman.com (over 70 styles for you to drool over while you’re there…and some of my favorites rounded up below).
I captured these photos early Saturday morning atop the iconic Brooklyn Bridge. I’d never been on the bridge at that time of day but I have to say…it’s something magical. Plenty of bikers and runners to keep you company but if you ever have the chance and feel the calling to see the sun rise over Manhattan, I can’t recommend this experience enough.
