Fall 2023 Wish List

Given that Fall is my favorite time of year to get dressed, you better believe it’s my favorite time to shop, too! It’s also the time of year I make the most investments in my closet. I work on adding to my collection of quality, well made pieces that I’ll wear over and over again.

Of course I never end up getting everything on my wish list – but it sure is fun to dream with some of these pieces! And a few I may use as rewards if I hit certain goals by the end of the season.

Fall Wish List

This year, as is in years past, I am all about beautiful and timeless styles in classic neutrals. These additions would pair well with what I already own and wear regularly. I also love to mix my more high end accessories with affordable staples that I keep in rotation.

Be sure to check out the other items I am eyeing at the bottom of the post, too! The collections so far this season are really good and I couldn’t fit all my favorite finds so far in the collage.

And be sure to shop my Seasonal Favorites Shop – picks curated by yours truly perfect for the new season.

1. La Ligne Solid Marin Sweater

Given how much I love my striped Marin Sweaters from La Ligne, I definitely want to add one of their new solids to my rotation.

2. Kinn Teardrop Earrings

I love the vintage vibes of these earrings. They’re striking yet subtle at the same time. Kinn is one of my favorite brands from which I have built much of My Everyday Jewelry collection.

3. Dorsey Lab Grown Drop Earrings

I don’t have a ton of earrings I can reach for on dressier occasions and I think these have such a beautiful vintage feel to them that make them just seem as though they should be passed down for generations.

4. Citizens of Humanity Cropped Jeans

These were actually the first piece I bought for Fall as soon as I spotted them drop on Shopbop! I absolutely love the color and fit – I took my usual size 28. They are going to pair so well with my boot collection and favorite cashmere sweaters.

5. Pave Pinky Ring

One of my girlfriends wears a diamond pinky ring every day and whenever I see her it just looks so good. It elevates any outfit and I like the idea of having a little bit of dainty sparkle.

6. Dorsey Lab Grown Diamond Bracelet

I love my Dorsey lab grown diamond necklace and now want to add one of their bracelets to my arm stack.

7. Mango Tweed Jacket

Mango makes some of my favorite tweed jackets. They are affordable and good quality for the price. This one in particular looks like a Celine one I have looked at in Paris many a time but would never pull the trigger on! I typically take my usual size of M in their jackets but I recommend sizing up if you want more room to layer.

8. La Ligne Hayley Sweater

Do I need another ivory sweater? No. Do I love the little details on this one from one of my favorite brands? Yep.

9. Gold Chain Knot Bracelet

I love the simplicity of this bracelet. It’s striking at the same time and the style is just very *me*.

10. Manolo Blahnik Gold Ballet Flats

I love the idea of adding a metallic ballet flat to a more simple outfit for a dressier look. But I am also torn between the gold and this beautiful suede beige pair. What do you guys think?

11. Khaite Clutch

My god there are so many beautiful Khaite bags and this clutch has been on my list for years. This may be the season I finally pull the trigger. (Should I!?)

12. Loewe Belt

I actually bought this and had to return it as I got the wrong size but I will be repurchasing because it is *so* beautiful in person. I love how timeless it is and that it really will add a lot when paired with trousers and over dresses.

13. Toteme T Lock Clutch

I am bummed to say that I was so in love with the look of this bag and the fact that it can also be a shoulder bag. But when I scooped it up after it came back in stock at Net a Porter I got it and just didn’t like the look of it as a shoulder bag. As a clutch? Absolutely gorgeous. But I wanted it to be more multi-purpose so sadly I returned this guy.

14. Saint Laurent Loafer

I’ve seen this pair in store and they are really, really beautiful. I’m so glad classic penny loafers are making a comeback and this season may be when I invest in a pair. I also love the Celine ones following seeing them in Paris earlier this year.

This pair is similar for less.

15. The Row Small Leather Park Tote

This bag has been popular since earlier this year and I for one am happy to see bucket bags making a come back. I think this color in particular is great because it is truly season-less. I saw it in store in Saks recently and absolutely love it. So simple yet so refined.

. . .

Also, a few favorite items from last year’s Fall Wish List that I am so happy I bought?

AGolde Dark Wash Cropped Jeans

I have this pair of jeans in a classic blue wash and when I spotted this darker wash I just knew they’d get a lot of wear. They’ve ended up being one of my most worn pairs! They run small and are rather tight so definitely take your usual size if not a size up. I have the size 28.

Celine Triomphe Bag

I had this bag on my list for years and years. It’s so gorgeous and I had looked at it countless times. When I was in Italy last Fall, with the Euro being so low, I decided to make the most of it and add it to my bag collection. I am so glad I did as it has been worn countless times!

Manolo Blahnik Ballerina Mule

I love how they look with cropped jeans so much and wore them lots last Fall with oversized sweaters and my blazer collection. This color is so unique, too and unlike anything else I had. Now I want the black suede pair next.

Khaite Sneakers

I saw a girl wearing these sneakers in my neighborhood recently and immediately came home to google to figure out who made them. They are a fun, more vintage sporty style and they’ve make for a nice break from my beloved Common Projects.

Cuyana Easy Tote

Cuyana totes have been my go-to work and carry on bags since 2014 and now they have a gorgeous new design. I got the Cappuccino color and it goes with everything year round.

Jenni Kayne Boyfriend Shirt

This easy, tomboy inspired style is the perfect throw on and go style for Fall. I layer it under sweaters or wear it on its own. I sized down to a size Small.

So so chic! Veja’s have been on my list for a while, and I think I just need to bite the proverbial bullet and go for it. I am also obsessed with this puff sleeve veronica beard top! I just got a pair of jeans from veronica beard, and they’re so good and the quality of the denim is amazing! I think you would love them too! Happy early fall, Meghan!

Love your choices! I am searching for a denim shirtwaist dress & a fabulous belt; denim midi skirt; a tweed jacket – neutral color; boots with ice grippers for Minnesota winter walking; burgundy long winter coat …

I have a few Jenni Kayne sweaters on my fall wish list, and now that I’ve moved from the South to the Northeast and will need sweaters for longer it might be time! I’ve also had the Margaux boots in the chocolate suede for almost two years now and can confirm they are incredible and so comfortable.

Really beautiful curation – thank you for all the hard work you and your team put into these posts. A Celine bag is high on my list as well. Also, thank you for introducing me to 24s.com: my wallet does not appreciate it, but I sure do!

  9. Megan says:

I’m also deciding between the DeMellier and APC bags, so please do a review! Love all these picks.

    • Meghan says:

I didn’t love the DeMellier bag when I ordered it – just felt not as nice as the price tag. So I decided to return it! Will try and look at the APC in person in Paris next week and report back!

  10. Michelle says:

Go for the gold (ballet flats)! Would look so chic with neutrals. My list includes that Massimo Dutti jacket you posted about and a black Magda Butrym belt.
