Given that Fall is my favorite time of year to get dressed, you better believe it’s my favorite time to shop, too. It’s also the time of year I make the most investments in my closet. I work on adding to my collection of quality, well made pieces that I’ll wear over and over again.
This year I am craving a major bag and accessory refresh.
Of course, I never end up getting everything on my wish list – but it sure is fun to dream with some of these pieces! And a few I may use as rewards if I hit certain goals by the end of the season.
Fall Wish List
This year, as is in years past, I am all about beautiful and timeless styles in classic neutrals. These additions would pair well with what I already own and wear regularly. I also love to mix my more high end accessories with affordable staples that I keep in rotation.
Be sure to check out the other items I am eyeing at the bottom of the post, too! The collections so far this season are really good and I couldn’t fit all my favorite finds so far in the collage.
And be sure to shop my Seasonal Favorites Shop – picks curated by yours truly perfect for the new season. Shopping on a budget? Don’t miss the Under $100 Shop.
1. Reformation Silk Pants
I own these in black and saw this color on my friend Carly and thought they’d look so good with my collection of ivory sweaters. Size M.
2. Citizens of Humanity Trouser Jeans
I love that they call these a “trouser” jean. They look comfortable yet put together. I usually take a size 28 in this brand.
3. Dorsey Tennis Bracelet
I am so happy with the Dorsey pieces I own (this necklace-18 in, this necklace – 16 in and these earrings) and so one of their tennis bracelets is next on my to-acquire list. I am considering this one and this one.
Also adding this necklace and coordinating bracelet to my wish list!
FYI that the brand never discounts and often sells out so if you see something you like in stock, always best to grab it!
4. Heaven Mayhem Watch
The look of a Cartier but at a much more attainable price point.
5. La Ligne Solid Marin Sweater in Chocolate
I adore my La Ligne Marin sweaters and this just-dropped chocolate shade is so on trend for this year and just so beautiful.

6. La Ligne Jill Sweater
My collection of striped sweaters continues to grow and this is the next one I am eyeing. I would size up to a L in this style.
If you’ve never shopped La Ligne before you can alternatively buy it from their site with code MEGHAND10 for 10% off your first order.
7. Toteme Double Breasted Wool Coat
Ever since seeing my friend Alicia wear this in Paris a few years ago it has been on my wish list. I bought a similar style from Massimo Dutti but as expected after lots of wear it looks like…it’s been worn a lot.
I’ve tried this coat on in store even and it is beautiful. So I think this may be the season I finally pull the trigger before it sells out again in advance of Winter as it did last year.
8. J.Crew Tweed Jacket
How beautiful is the newest J.Crew little jacket? I’ll be adding to cart but of course!
9. Madewell Suede and Metal Belt
The Madewell belts this season are so good! I ordered this one. Love that it looks so high end and that you could wear it over a dress over pants.
Little pro tip? Buy it in a bigger size so you can take it to your cobbler to add a few more extra holes and this way you can wear it both at your hips and waist.
10. J.Crew Cropped Barn Jacket
Such a classic wardrobe staple. This year’s new cropped version looks right up my alley for Fall weekends upstate.
11. Saint Laurent Small Manhattan Bag
Most YSL bags these days are overly logo’d for me but this one is such simple, sleek perfection that would age so well. This brown in particular is so striking and I love that it would be a seaonless color and style to wear year round.
(This Tory Burch style is a good, less expensive alternative!)
12. Heaven Mayhem Mini Gold Knot earrings
These are just gorgeous! This brand keeps getting recommended to me and the price point is great.
13. Longines DolceVita Watch
A vintage Cartier watch similar in style to this one is on my long time wish list but in the meantime I’d still like to invest in a beautiful timepiece at a lower price point. I really like the look of this one by Longines.
14. DeMellier Paris Top Handle Bag
I think I’ll finally get this this season after loving it all year! A follower recently told me she got it in black and she’s so happy with it which sealed the deal for me. I am going to do a bag clear out session this season and I’ve decided to part ways with my worn, monogrammed Daily Edited box bag I’ve gotten a lot of great use out of. I’ll replace it with this one!
15. Khaite Marfa Suede Ankle Boot
I’ve seen these in store and they are oh so gorgeous. But this brand is $$$ as many of you know.
These look like a more attainable price point version though and I’ve heard great things about this brand.
Also eyeing this Margaux pair of suede boots, too.
16. Gucci Sunglasses
Do I need another pair of black sunglasses? No. Do I love the look of this pair? Yes.
17. Loewe Belt
I have loved this belt for a couple seasons and tried to buy it in Europe in the past but always failed to find my right size/color combo. I’m hopeful this is the year.
This is a good lookalike alternative.
18. Adidas Gazelle Sneakers
I love the colorway on these! I just snagged an in-stock pair and can’t wait to wear them with trousers.
19. Chloe Marcie Clutch
It’s been a minute since Chloe was on my radar.
I like the look of this more than the Toteme one we’ve all been seeing everywhere the last year (less branded!) and it is less expensive! I plan to look for this in Paris this Fall.
Shop My Fall Wish List
A few other items on my wish list this season…
Inez Paloma Boots
I love, love, love the Inez shoes I own and this style is at the top of my wish list to add to my collection. You can use code WIT&WHIMSY15 for 15% off their shoes when you use my link.
Jenni Kayne Suede Kitten Heels
Such a chic, timeless silhouette. I think the sand colored suede would be so pretty year round. I already own a similar pair in black that I really like so I know the style is well suited to me.
Jenni Kayne Jones Blazer
To be honest, despite how often I am browsing the Jenni Kayne site, I never noticed this blazer and matching trouser (see below) until my friend Helena wore the two together. The suiting moment looked so good on her that I instantly added both pieces to my wish list for the season.
Use code MEGHANDONO15 for 15% off your purchase.
Jenni Kayne Jones Trouser
The matching Jones trouser for the aforementioned blazer! I am usually a size 6 in Jenni Kayne trousers.
Use code MEGHANDONO15 for 15% off your purchase.

So so chic! Veja’s have been on my list for a while, and I think I just need to bite the proverbial bullet and go for it. I am also obsessed with this puff sleeve veronica beard top! I just got a pair of jeans from veronica beard, and they’re so good and the quality of the denim is amazing! I think you would love them too! Happy early fall, Meghan!
They’re great!
That Chloe bag comes in such a pretty blue! And loving the Celine one as well!
I hadn’t seen the blue but going to look for it!
I have also been on the belt game. Need to add a few to the closet. They just pull a look together in a pinch!

All the London and Paris girls got me back into belts! So chic!
The Margaux boots!!
So chic right!? I’ve bene eying them for two years now!
Love your choices! I am searching for a denim shirtwaist dress & a fabulous belt; denim midi skirt; a tweed jacket – neutral color; boots with ice grippers for Minnesota winter walking; burgundy long winter coat …
If I could only snap my fingers and have these all show up in my closet…these are some exquisite picks!
LOL SAME!!
I have a few Jenni Kayne sweaters on my fall wish list, and now that I’ve moved from the South to the Northeast and will need sweaters for longer it might be time! I’ve also had the Margaux boots in the chocolate suede for almost two years now and can confirm they are incredible and so comfortable.
Love to hear this!! Thanks for sharing!
Really beautiful curation – thank you for all the hard work you and your team put into these posts. A Celine bag is high on my list as well. Also, thank you for introducing me to 24s.com: my wallet does not appreciate it, but I sure do!
HA! Yes they have such a good curation!
I’m also deciding between the DeMellier and APC bags, so please do a review! Love all these picks.
I didn’t love the DeMellier bag when I ordered it – just felt not as nice as the price tag. So I decided to return it! Will try and look at the APC in person in Paris next week and report back!
Go for the gold (ballet flats)! Would look so chic with neutrals. My list includes that Massimo Dutti jacket you posted about and a black Magda Butrym belt.
Thank you for the enabling!! 🙂
Love all the classic pieces you shared. I have been thinking about the Demellier bag… I am just deciding if I want the midi version or the regular one.
Let me know what you end up doing!
