In the age of social media and influencers, I know it can be easy to get caught up in brands that get a lot of hype. I try to always do my own research for brands I’m hearing a lot about – especially when they come with steep price tags – so that I can determine whether or not I think they’re worth the spend. 

In 2020 I bought my first pieces from the brand Jenni Kayne – the California cool brand that’s all above classic and relaxed yet polished Cali vibes. They make both home goods and clothing and today’s post is all about sharing more about the brand’s clothing items. They offer a wide variety of styles and I’m sharing which pieces I own and can recommend. I’ve been shopping the brand ever since.

Jenni Kayne Apparel Review

The Jenni Kayne sweaters make up my very favorite apparel from the brand. They’re high quality investment pieces in beautiful neutrals that you’ll reach for time and time again. I also love their dresses.

Jenni Kayne Everyday Sweater

This is such a good year-round sweater. It’s lightweight but still cozy and features edge detailing on the bottom hem and sleeves. The side slits add visual interest and make this a great casual sweater.

It comes in several neutral color options and sizes XS through 3X. I am wearing Ivory in a M. I also own it in the pretty Camel color.

Jenni Kayne Cashmere Fisherman Sweater

This is my favorite Jenni Kayne piece.

I love how versatile this sweater is. And man is it soft. After buying it I found myself reaching for it again and again. And I’ve had no issue with pilling whatsoever on it (a true sign of the quality of their 100% cashmere) and why I feel it is worth its price tag. It has a classic crewneck silhouette and I love the subtly texture to it. It feels extremely luxurious every time I slip it on. 

Available in a variety of beautiful neutrals. I now own it in Ivory, Oatmeal, Black and Charcoal. It’s my favorite piece that I’ve gotten from Jenni Kayne to date.

I wear a size M and sizes available are XS through 3X.

Jenni Kayne Cotton Fisherman Sweater

Featuring the same textured detail and classic crewneck silhouette as the cashmere fisherman sweater, this is a cotton version of the fisherman in a thick, lovely quality weight.

Available in five beautiful neutrals – I’m wearing the Ivory in a size M. It runs slightly small so if you’d prefer a more oversized fit, I’d size up. Available in sizes XS through 3X. They also have an Oversized Cotton Fisherman if that’s more your style.

Jenni Kayne Cashmere Fisherman Hoodie

Slouchy, comfy, cozy perfection. Both the body and the hood are slightly oversized making this a 100% cashmere sweater you’ll want to live in. I often travel in this paired with a pair of favorite leggings and I really like how it looks layered with my winter coats in particular.

I have the shade Oatmeal in a M.

Jenni Kayne Cotton Crewneck

This cotton crewneck is perfect for year round wear.

I own the Taupe color and had to majorly size up – to an XL. It runs very small. It also comes in a beautiful Bone color. This is probably my least favorite sweater I own by the brand to be honest. 

Jenni Kayne Oversized Alpaca Crew

Perfectly oversized, perfectly slouchy and oh so cozy – this alpaca sweater is perfect for colder temps. Tuck it into jeans or wear it layered with leggings.

I sized down to a Small and it is still rather oversized on me so definitely take one size down from what you would normally wear. This one comes in five colors as well.

It does shed so FYI you’ll want a lint roller handy. 

Chloe Crewneck

The perfect cotton striped crewneck. I sized up to a L for a roomier fit.

It comes in a variety of colors, too.

Cashmere Half Zip

I live in this sweater in Fall and Winter. It’s so cozy and perfect for pairing with jeans and with leggings. The cashmere is so thick and luxe.

Jenni Kayne Cooper Cardigan

This cardigan went viral on Instagram and for good reason thanks to its chic silhouette and oversized cuffs.

This runs really small! I had to size up to an XL to be able to wear it buttoned. 

Jenni Kayne Rove Dress

This dress is a dream. It’s got a flattering fit, pockets and a sleek silhouette. It was originally called the Rhode dress when I first purchased it and the fabric had some texture and a lived in feel. 

Now it is called the Rove dress and comes in a silkier fabric for some colors with the same silhouette. 

I own the M and the L in the newer fabrics so you may want to grab both sizes and see which you prefer.

This is hands down one of my most worn summer dresses. So much so that I just picked it up in this year’s pretty green color! I always get so many compliments whenever I wear this dress.

The ideal summer linen shift dress. Simple, chic and easy to style.

I love the classic gingham pattern of this seersucker maxi dress. The ideal summertime dress.

Seen styled with the Jenni Kayne Finley Cardigan which is my favorite for over the shoulder styling. It is rather shrunken in style so I sized up to an XL. 

Rio Slip Dress

The Rio Slip Dress boasts a slight v-neck, stylized seams, a super-soft silk fabric and an effortless drape that makes it deal for dressing up or dressing down. Wearing a M. 

I also own the pretty Riviera Slip Dress in a worn linen in Navy but haven’t photographed it yet. It’s another good dress to dress up or dress down. I own the M.

Jenni Kayne Boyfriend Shirt

This is the perfect oversized oxford button down with a relaxed fit. I went with the size Small and I’ve been so happy with it. The fabric is crisp and cool and easy to get wrinkles out of with my favorite wrinkle release spray.

It also layers so well with sweaters as seen below! 

This shirt also comes in several striped colors as well as a French blue.

Jenni Kayne Playa Pajama Top + Pants

I fell in love with the fabric of these pajamas when I saw them in the store. They’re a really lightweight yet luxurious feeling cotton. They feel cozy yet cool to the touch so if you’re a hot sleeper like me, you’ll love them.

The style seems to be have been discontinued sadly but I hope they’ll bring it back! You can shop other pajama styles they offer here.

Jenni Kayne Shearling Moroccan Slipper

And I had to include my one shoe choice from the brand, too!

I wasn’t really a slipper person till I got these. I love that they are so simple and chic. You can wear them two ways – either fold down the back or opt not to.

My latest acquisitions I actually just got in? The cozy Saturday Sweatpants + Saturday Sweatshirt (size M in both) and the beautiful Flynn Cashmere Sweater that has tipped cuffs on the sleeves which is a detail I just love (sized up to a L).

Next up on my list to try from the brand? The Jenni Kayne Cropped Cashmere Cocoon Cardigan, the Jenni Kayne Sweater Coat and the Jenni Kayne Cabin Sweater. Do any of you have these? I’d love to hear what you thought!

Does Jenni Kayne fit true to size?

I have found the brand to generally fit true to size but items do range as you can tell from above as I own items in size S to XL! Anything with an oversized fit I definitely recommend sizing down. For example, you’re going to want to size down in things like their popular oversized cocoon cardigan.

How do I care for my Jenni Kayne cashmere?

I either dry clean my Jenni Kayne cashmere sweaters or I’ll use Cashmere Shampoo and let the pieces air dry (read: do not tumble dry!)

After repeated wear, the sweaters will pill a bit. But it is easily remedied by using my favorite fabric shaver that leaves the sweaters looking brand new.

Jenni Kayne Returns

The brand offers free domestic shipping however does have a restocking fee for returns. They offer payment installment options as well. I have found their customer service really responsive and helpful when I have needed help on past orders.
