I’m excited to unveil my fourth annual gift guide devoted to fellow Francophiles! Not sure what a Francophile is? It is someone who loves all things French! Culture, recipes, traditions – you name it. And after all what’s not to love about being a Francophile? I first fell in love with the French way of life and the country’s food and culture when I was just a little girl and my love for the country has only grown since then. You can find all my content that’s dedicated to my love of Paris here.
I hope you find something perfect for the Francophile in your life to transport them to the City of Lights!
This is a favorite gift guide to put together – particularly because I think there is a fine line between chic Francophile gift ideas and kitschy gift guides I see put together this time of year. I strive to have this guide feature the best French-inspired gifts from favorite brands and small businesses alike that are all chic and fun ideas for that Francophile you know and love.
Gifts for the Francophiles
1. Le Creuset Dutch Oven
Looking to spoil a Francophile? Le Creuset produced the first enameled cast iron cookware nearly a century ago, and the original foundry still operates today, where 15 skilled artisans hand-inspect each piece. The iconic Le Creuset Dutch oven is indispensable in the kitchens of home cooks and professional chefs alike and this particularly one is so stylish and very Nancy Meyers if you ask me. So perfect for the person who is at home in the kitchen and loves to cook for others.
2. Caudalie Pores & Glow Duo Gift Set
Caudalie always does the best gift sets and I was so excited to see two of their cult classic SKUs – their Beauty Elixir and their Detox Mask in a duo set this year – and priced at just $22! Truly perfect for the beauty BFF in your life. I never get on a plane without a Beauty Elixir and the mask is one of my all time favorites.
3. Ritz Paris x Frame Eye Mask
One of the best collabs ever in my opinion, FRAME partnered with the Ritz Paris on a capsule collection and this eye mask was included in their latest installment that was released this past Fall. This collaboration is the first time the iconic hotel has ever teamed up with a label, which makes each piece in the lineup feel truly special.
This eye mask is made from lustrous silk-satin and embroidered with the logos across the front and on the accompanying pouch. Who said you can’t sleep in style?
4. Madeleine Pan
I learned to make madeleines last year thanks to my friend Molly and it’s such an easy afternoon activity that reaps major rewards. I also am lucky to now have fond memories of making Madelines with my niece last summer. I think food memories are some of the most special we acquire. Inspire the French baker in your life with this thoughtful gift. And you could even give them some baking supplies along with it!
5. Paris, Perfected Gift Card
Know someone going to Paris soon? Give the gift of Paris, Perfected! I would love to work with them on their trip + offer customized, personalized recommendations to make their trip extra special.
6. Williams Sonoma Croissants
Psst…the Williams Sonoma frozen croissants are really good! Surprise any Francophile foodie wishing for the good stuff this Christmas. These are a staple on our family breakfast table every Christmas and they never cease to satisfy. We always order a box of the original and a box of the pain au chocolat. Have you tried these!?
7. Café de Flore Cup + Saucer
I love that Café de Flore lets you buy just about anything you see at their famed institution. You can even buy one of their café tables! But for something a bit more giftable – might I suggest purchasing one of their oh so recognizable cups + saucers? How perfect to be able to sip your morning coffee out of one while you close your eyes and transport yourself to Paris? Optional: Play my Paris is Always a Good Idea Playlist while you’re at it 😉
8. Christophe Robin Salt Scrub
A favorite gift of mine to give to girlfriends this scalp scrub feels like a luxurious spa treatment in the comfort of your own shower.
9. Bernardaud Paris Votive
When I tell you I was delighted to see this being sold at Bloomingdale’s! I’ve had this votive for over fifteen years at this point I think? My parents gifted it to me after they discovered them on a trip to Paris. They went on to buy themed Bernadaud votives for nearly everyone in our family as they saw one that may be a fit (they have so many beautiful ones!) but I of course had to include the Paris scene one in today’s guide. This is so beautiful when lit up with a little votive candle – and at $60 I think it looks and feels far more expensive.
10. Chanel Rouge Coco Gloss
One of my all time favorite glosses and such a nice, luxe gift to give to a girlfriend. Shade 722 is my all time favorite and I think pretty universally flattering. Not to mention if you mark it as a gift you can opt into some really extra luxe gift packaging, too!
11. La Rochere Quessant Mugs
To know me is to know I love glassware so believe me when I tell you I was excited that one of my favorite French glassware brands began a new line with a bit more modern aesthetics. These coffee mugs are just gorgeous and would make a beautiful and thoughtful gift for the coffee lover in your life.
12. Paris Ball Cap
This hat gives me Celine vibes and I love the washed, pre-loved look of it that makes it perfect to pair with all your athleisure looks you wear when not in Paris. The perfect gift for your Francophile friend who loves fashion.
13. Hotel Lobby Paris Nuit Candle
My friend Lindsay makes amazing candles and her Paris Nuit one gets all the sexy, subtle notes of a magical night in Paris right. With a burn time of 65 hours, your gift recipient will be able to be immediately transported to a dimly-lit hotel lobby cocktail lounge for weeks past the holiday season.
14. French Pastry at The Ritz Paris
The Ritz Paris is one of my happy places on earth and their pastry chefs are magicians. If you have someone in your life who loves to tackle a challenge and wants to peek behind the doors of the kitchen at The Ritz, this book is the perfect gift.
15. Drinking French
I bought this book just before lockdown in 2020 and it led to my Let’s Make a Drink Instagram video series that I had so much fun with during the pandemic shelter in place. This is SUCH a fun book and it’s not just for cocktails- the author also covers coffee traditions and more. A great gift for any Francophile.
16. An American in Provence
Jamie Beck is one of my favorite Instagram follows ever since she packed up her life in New York City and moved to Provence. Her new book – just released – is a beautiful collection of exquisite portrait, scenic, and still-life photography shot by Jamie. This book would make the perfect gift for the Francophile who also loves to capture photos.
17. Sézane Body Milk
If you’ve ever walked in a Sézane store or gotten one of their packages in the mail – you know they have a signature scent. Now you can gift it in the form of luxurious body milk.
