In my ongoing efforts to avoid getting any Botox or fillers, I’ve turned to testing some tools to help me with my skin’s aging process. Last year I purchased the GloPRO Microneedling Regeneration Tool during the Nordstrom sale and today I am reviewing it after several months of testing.
GloPro Microneedling Tool Review
I think there has been such an amazing increase in professional tools that are engineered for at home use. It makes it easier to get great results at home because let’s be honest, we’re all short on time and don’t have the availability – or the funds- to be going to medspas regularly. These at home tools make it more accessible to get great results from the comfort of your own home – provided you use them right and you use them regularly.
What Is Microneedling?
If you’re not familiar with microneedling, it’s a process – often offered at spas – that uses tiny needles to help create younger-looking, more firm and bouncy skin. Your pores will appear tighter and with regular use, microneedling can help smooth the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. The micro needles also help any topicals like serums and facial moisturizers that you use in your nighttime skincare routine that have active ingredients to better absorb into the skin. And, since we lose collagen as we age, at home microneedling can actually help with collagen production which is a reaso the price tag is often justified.
Microneedling is kind of like vertical exfoliation. You may be using exfoliators that are physical (scrubs) or chemical (acids) that target removing your outermost layer of dead, dry skin skin cells. Whereas microneedling is aimed at creating small micro-channels in the skin to help firm and and smooth over time. The tiny needles help boost your skin’s natural rejuvenation response which aids that firming and smoothing. It can be a really good addition to your routine for a more effective skincare regimen.
The GloPro Facial Microneedling Tool was designed so you can do microneedling safely in the comfort of your own home. It’s patented and award winning and the brand offers some super compelling before and afters!
How To Use GloPRO
Largely the GloPro is good for most skin types (including acne-prone!) I recommend you watch this YouTube video before using the device so you can visually see how to best use the device.
I’ve found GloPro is easy and quick to add to your nighttime routine. It’s recommended you use your GloPro 2-3x per week and only ever use it at night.
Step 1: Cleanse face and pat dry.
You always want to only use your GloPro on cleansed skin.
Step 2: Prep the skin.
I typically use a toner but you could also use Beauty Bio’s Prep pads (glorified toner pads!)
Step 3: Roll your GloPro Microneedling Regeneration Tool across targeted areas of the face.
Use the roller in vertical, horizontal and diagonal directions for 60 seconds total. There’s no need to apply any pressure. I typically set the Alexa Dot in my bathroom to a timer of 1 minute and then do 15 seconds per cheek, 15 seconds on my forehead and 15 seconds around my nose, mouth and chin. I also usually do at least 30 seconds on my neck and under my chin as targeted areas afterwards.
Step 4: Cleanse your GloPro.
After each use, always spritz the attachment head with 70% isopropyl alcohol or higher to disinfect and sterilize the microneedles. Let the attachment head air dry (do not wipe it down.) Because alcohol is flammable, the brand cannot provide it with each GloPro but they do provide an empty spray bottle you can fill up with alcohol from the drugstore.
Step 5: Apply your favorite serums and moisturizers.
One of the best benefits of using the GloPro is that it helps your favorite topicals work harder. So be sure to add a retinol or other favorite serum followed by your preferred face oil or cream once you’ve finished using your GloPro.
You’ll need to replace the attachment head ever 2-3 months when using your device regularly.

Does GloPRO Hurt?
I’ve not found it to cause any pain or discomfort! You’ll feel a gentle tingling sensation – especially when you first begin to use it – but the needles were designed with a special density, shape and length so they’re not painful in any way. My face does get red with use but that’s actually a sign that your skin’s microchannels are opening up and ready to receive your topicals afterwards! (Aka: the tool is working!)
Can I use the GloPro other areas besides my face?
Yes! The brand sells a variety of attachments you can put on your device to target areas like Body, Lips and Eyes. They market the body attachment as a way to help with stretch marks.
How much does the GloPro cost?
The standard GloPro device is typically priced at $199. You can often find it part of promotional bundles where you’ll get some extras, too which is what I did when I purchased it at the Nordstrom Sale. But the brand usually is offering bundles on their site year-round, too.
Is The GloPro Worth It?
I think with regular use the GloPro is worth it. My skin felt firmer and I liked that it helped make my expensive skincare favorites actually work harder for me.
If you’re not one for needles, you may want to consider red light therapy. I have a red light therapy mask I love. It uses LED lights to help firm and tone skin and is much more hands-off.
Beautybio GloPRO Microneedling Facial Regeneration Tool Review
So far I haven’t noticed major results but more so subtle ones. My skin feels firmer and smoother with regular use and I notice my fine less on my forehead and around my eyes much less.
I’m continuing to use it as I definitely notice when I take time off from adding it to my routine. But, like any beauty device, I think the results are best when you are committed to using it. You may also want to check with a dermatologist to see if at home microneedling is recommended for you before you make the investment.
Do you guys have a GloPro? I’d love to hear your experience with the device!

I have the Glo Pro and have been using it a few times a week for about 6 months. I’ve noticed subtle line reduction and firming and really like how serums soak into my skin after using it. I fell that it’s an easy, 60 second addition to my skincare routine and will keep using it. Would like to try some other attachments – such as the lip one – as a next step.
Yes I have the eye attachment and want to try that next! So glad to hear you’ve had a similar experience!
