You know those mornings when you sleep through your alarm or it didn’t go off as planned so you wake up five minutes before you should actually be leaving the house for work? Yeah, they are the worst. The panic and anxiety that can ensue is a far cry from the luxury of waking up with plenty of time to embrace your morning routine and take your time getting ready watching TODAY (that’s how I prefer to start my days!)
So for those mornings where you have next to no time to get ready & if you’re like me and you do want seize the day with a naked face, here’s how to DEAL:
Those four products are all you need when you’re in a pinch. I recommend Burt’s Bees BB Cream with Noni Extract because it does the work of hydrating (you ain’t got time for moisturizer and face makeup!), SPF protection (sun safety first) and concealing any blemishes (or dark circles if you’re like me and don’t get enough sleep) all with a few swipes. Your skin will be smoother and slightly illuminated without much heavy lifting.
Mascara I literally can’t make it through the day without so it had to be on this list and a creamy cheek color gives you a little warmth without requiring a brush.
Finally, a bolder lip color will ensure you feel put together throughout the day and I think serves as a nice distraction from not having done your usual makeup routine. The Burt’s Bees lipsticks have 8 hour wear and a smooth, satin finish so swipe it on in the morning and be good to go all day.
Then my real trick for these kind of my alarm didn’t go off mornings? Keep these 4 products in a to-go pouch of sorts. That way if you’re needing throw clothes on and can’t spend even a minute in front of a mirror, just get in a cab or on the subway and you can do your makeup on the go. If you keep these in case of emergency products together in a pouch, you’ll just be grabbing that rushing out the door vs. trying to dig for what you need.
So there’s my way to handle those kind of mornings (see the reveal below!) What are your tips & tricks when you’re running out the door?
Thanks to Burt’s Bees for partnering on this post.
