When I moved apartments last Fall I wanted to make a few impactful updates and one of those was to get a new rug for my living space. I’ve previously had a great experience with Annie Selke and Dash and Albert rugs so they’re who I went to for my new rug.
I ended up selecting the Dash & Albert Crosshatch Micro Hooked Wool Rug in a beautiful Dove Grey. When selecting a rug I want one that will hold up well to lots of foot traffic, add a bit of visual interest but also not show any speck of anything that falls onto it. The crosshatch pattern of this rug is so beautiful and I love that it doesn’t require a ton of upkeep. Nothing drives me crazier than rugs you can spot any crumb or speck on it! (The rug does shed some but it vacuums beautifully with my Dyson!)
The rug also comes in a variety of other colors and sizes and given its durability it’s perfect for living rooms, hallways, dining rooms or stairways. I particularly love that the pattern adds a bit of texture into my living space and is the perfect contrast against my gray velvet sofa. You can also order this rug in custom sizes!
This rug is made in India and custom cut in the U.S.A. I added a rug pad I previously owned underneath but Annie Selke also gives you the option of adding a rug pad at ordering which will come attached to it.
Rugs make such a big impact in your space and I’ve realized the value in having a quality rug. I love that Annie Selke is a female founded business and that their rugs are crafted by artisans committed to fair-labor practices.
I previously had a more cream forward colored rug with this couch + coffee table but swapping out to the gray made a big improvement in my space and having a pattern vs. floral rug was more in line with my aesthetic for this space. My Parisian Apartment Design Concept included texture and contrast and after looking at loads of options this rug fit the vision perfectly.

Annie Selke gifted me this rug but as always all opinions are my own.
Looks beautiful and I love seeing a glimpse of your new place!
Can I ask a dumb question about your Dyson? I’ve been on a vacuum researching kick because I desperately need to replace the massive upright that takes up half of my coat closet. Where do you charge your cordless?! I know they have all these fancy contraptions for hanging the vacuums on the wall while they charge, but that isn’t going to cut it in my apartment 🙂 And outlets are at a premium. Do you just charge a piece of the vacuum after you’ve used it and then store it unplugged? Seems so ridiculous, but I just can’t seem to figure it out!
Totally hear this as I’m in the same boat! I just stash it in my closet unattached and charge it as needed! Simple enough!
Thank you! Sometimes they really just need to simplify product instructions/details 🙂
I agree!
That rug is gorgeous! Also- where is your coffee table from? ?
