One of the best purchases I’ve made in the past year was the NuFACE device. As someone who is in her mid-30s and has held off on doing any sort of Botox or injectables, I like to rely on at-home devices for improving the appearance of my skin. I bought the NuFACE back in March of this year and have been using it on and off all year and am finally sharing my thoughts on the device as well as sharing before and after photos from when I was consistent with use.

Carol Cole and her daughters, Tera Peterson and Kim Morales, created NuFACE out of their home in Encinitas, California. Carol, a licensed aesthetician, started specializing in microcurrent facials decades ago and was traveling weekly to Los Angeles to serve clients in Hollywood to give lift and contouring to their faces. How Does NuFACE Trinity Work
Microcurrent is low-level, electrical current that sends gentle waves through skin down to the facial muscles. It mimics and gently re-energizes the body’s own natural current to help tone, lift and contour!
NuFACE utilizes microcurrents sent through the metal sphere heads on the device to send safe, gentle waves through the skin and into the facial muscles. The NUFACE Trinity then energizes the muscles (which are directly connected to the skin) in order to give your face a lifted appearance.

How To Use NuFACE Trinity
What I love about the NuFACE Trinity is that it is so easy to use and only adds a few minutes onto your skincare routine. It really doesn’t add too, too much time to my skincare routine which is important to me. (I don’t have time for some of these devices that ask for 10+ minute regimens!)
Here’s how to use the NuFACE:
Cleanse Your Face
You want your face to be absolutely free of any makeup or product so be sure to cleanse thoroughly with a gel or foaming cleanser. Avoid oil cleansers as they tend to leave some residue.
Apply Priming Gel
Apply a pea-sized amount of gel to one section of the skin at a time. This makes sure the gel won’t dry out during your treatment. Your skin should appear wet and the device should be able to glide easily, without tugging or pulling at the skin.
Glide Slowly Upwards and Outwards
It is recommended you start by splitting your face up into 3 sections – neck, cheek and forehead. Then split these into 3 sections – lower, middle and higher. Begin on your neck, gliding the device over the 3 sections and repeating 3 times. Then move to your cheeks, and then forehead – repeating the movements. I tend to split my face into the right side and left side because I like to see the before and after of each side!
You want each motion of the device to gently lift the skin and sculpt that section so don’t pull too much. Just follow the beeps of the device and make sure both spheres are always touching the skin to ensure that the microcurrent diffuses fully into the muscle tissue.
Use Morning or Night
If you want to show off your immediate, temporary lift – you can use the NuFACE before you do your morning skincare routine. However I think it is easier to incorporate the NuFACE in with regularity by doing it at night.
I wash my face and then apply the gel, conduct my treatment and then carry on with the rest of my nighttime skincare routine. I like that I don’t have to wash the priming gel off.
Use regularly for best results
For best results, NuFACE recommends you use your device five days per week for at least 60 days. Then, once happy with your results following that period, you can scale back to 2-3 treatments per week to maintain your tone.
NuFACE Trinity Review
I have found the NuFACE easy to integrate into my routine. I actually wish I had bought it sooner! I find it easy and not cumbersome to complete the treatment and love that the before and afters make it encouraging to keep up use.
Is NuFACE Trinity Worth It
Frankly, I was kind of shocked what an instant difference using the NuFACE Trinity made. But I think it is absolutely worth it if you are committed to using it regularly. I don’t have much definition in my face naturally so I really appreciate the fact that it helps sculpt more definition in my cheeks and jaw and even helped a bit of my double chin, too!
The price per use over time – given the results you get – make it far more affordable than regular visits to a clinic for similar treatments.
NuFACE Trinity Before And After Photos
I was most committed with my NuFACE before my brother’s wedding this past May. Which meant all of March and April I was using my NuFACE several nights a week. You can clearly see the difference it made in carving out definition in my face! I loved the immediate effects of it so much that I even packed the device to do a treatment the evening before and morning of my brother’s wedding. I like that the device is small enough, lightweight enough and holds a charge long enough to be able to easily travel with it.
How To Clean NuFACE Trinity
You want to make sure your NuFACE remains clean. You can regularly clean it with a damp cloth with water. Just gently wipe the spheres on top of the device to remove any leftover product. (Be sure not to ever submerge your device in water). Or, if it’s been a while since you last cleaned your device and you’ve noticed some product build up, just use rubbing alcohol instead of water to clean your device.
Ensure you let it air dry for at least an hour before use and then store it in a dry place.
