Sézane has been a favorite brand of mine ever since discovering their L’appartment store in Paris back in 2015. It was instantly added to my favorite places to shop and I’ve been shopping there ever since. I’ve loved watching their brand expand and am so happy they introduced shipping to the U.S. in 2017.

I think the brand really excels in Fall in particular. Their knits, their coats, their blazers – so, so good. The newest Fall drops have been great and so I’ve updated this post with some of my tried and true Fall favorites from the brand as well as my latest purchases for this year.

Sézane Fall Collection

I really, really love a lot of the new collection and wanted to round up my favorites from the Fall season and also share a lot of the pieces I own that are once again restocked. At the bottom of the post I also share what I’ve bought from the newest collection! There’s quite a bit I am still eyeing, too…!

Sezane James Coat

I love this modern take on a peacoat-esque style. It’s similar to a blazer as well with its lapel and buttons and pockets and I just think it is so chic. The thick material is beautifully tailored and I love the navy color I chose. They have it in a few other colors as well.

This runs a bit oversized so I took my usual size of size 6. If you plan to wear it with thicker knits I’d size up.

Sézane Scott Trench Coat

This is a classic trench coat and one of my most worn pieces I own. It has a flattering fit and all the classic details you want such as a tie waist and lapel collar.

I love the camel color and thoughtful details on this well-made investment piece that I know I’ll wear for a long, long time.

I size up in all Sézane Coats usually but I got this in my true to size size 6 (FR38) and it fits perfectly. It is designed to be a bit oversized which I appreciate as it makes it easy to layer over little jackets or bulkier sweaters.

In addition to the classic camel color, it also comes in a navy and a green.

This is one of my most worn coats and it always gets compliments. It is, of course, waterproof as well. 

Sezane Clyde Trench

A more masculine, boxier trench that’s great for casual styling. This trench took over the internet last year and I can see why. It has a charming plaid interior and effortless cool-girl vibes.

I first bought the 6 and had to size down to a 4 and still find it rather oversized. 

It comes in several colors.

Sezane Farel Jacket

This quilted jacket (size 6) is perfect for casual weekend Fall outings. 

Sézane Gaspard Sweater

I’ve now amassed a collection of a variety of colors of this versatile sweater and every Fall pull out my collection to rotate in once again. I love wearing it both frontwards and backwards.

It goes great with jeans, with printed pants and can also be worn over dresses or paired with skirts. Thanks to its lightweight weave it is also great thrown over your shoulders during cooler summer evenings.

It’s so feminine and I love the fit on it. I used to size down when it first was released 5+ years ago but now I believe they have righted the sizing and it runs more TTS. Thus, my subsequent purchases in this style have been a M vs. a S.

The Gaspard also now comes in a darling stripe that I had to have.

I also own the similar Barry Cardigan. It features a v-neck back instead of a scoop neck.

Sézane Johnson Coat

This coat is so beautifully tailored and a timeless silhouette. The sand color is a beautiful neutral but they also offer it in other colors as well. Last year I added the black to my coat collection.

I reach for this coat often in Fall before temperatures really drop. If you live somewhere it doesn’t get super cold, it would make a wonderful winter coat for you.

I sized up to a size 8 as I find it runs a bit tight in the arms/shoulders. 

Sezane Michele Jacket

I own this blazer-jacket from Sezane in the beautiful navy (see below) and love the fit of it so when I saw the new wool charcoal drop as part of the Fall Arrivals in 2023, I snagged it right away. They’ve brought it back again this Fall, too in this beautiful plaid I hope they’ll restock (size 6).

Styled with these Veronica Beard jeans from the brand that I *love* (size 28).

Also the Staud Wally boots I got last Winter and wear so much thanks to being so comfortable. They have a variety of styles and colors of the silhouette for this year!

Sézane Christie Jacket

A timeless, well-made blazer with a flattering silhouette. I have it in a size 6 in both the camel and the black.

For Fall the brand has introduced bright, bold colors in this jacket along with the classics and a beautiful new herringbone plaid, too. 

Sezane Leo Coat

A cool, oversized heavier weight coat that’s great for Fall into Winter. My ecru color is from several years ago but it is available still in black. I’ve seen this coat countless times on the streets of Paris.

Wearing a size 6.

Sezane Louise Jumper

This sweater is a great staple piece. It has cuffed sleeves with subtle buttons and I’ve worn the black so much I bought the beige, too.

I own it in a size small as I found the initial runs of it to be oversized but there latest colors fit more true to size I have found. I now own this in three colors.

The brand this year released a similar style called the Louisa, too.

Sézane Colette Marinière Striped Tee

No essential French wardrobe is complete without a striped tee and the Sézane Colette tee is just as close to perfection as you’d expect. I adore my ecru/camel color but they of course also offer a classic ercu/navy as well as other seasonal color combinations from time to time as well.

It’s great on its own or layered under sweaters or blazers or cardigans. I am wearing a size M.

Sézane Tomboy Button Down

It’s often hard for me to find well-fitting button downs but my search ended when I found the Sézane Tomboy button down shirt. It’s the perfect fit and not too stuffy of a fabric.

It’s more-so a lived-in cotton fabric that takes down the formal factor in the style. I sized up to an 8 in this style.

In addition to the white they also have a blue and a striped version.

Sézane Betty Cardigan

An instant bestseller when it launched, this is Sezane’s take on the cardigan jacket. I loved mine in Ecru so much I bought the Navy right after. And then the black! And then an ivory crochet version!

The knit material is so, so nice and I love this paired with jeans and with trousers. I find myself reaching for it constantly and often travel in it as well. 

This style has been so popular for the brand they are regularly introducing new colors and spins on it.

I sized up to a L in this style.

I wore the style so much that I bought similar ones they introduced including the Valerio Jacket and the Auguste Jacket. Both size L.

Sezane Milo Bag

A great shoulder bag that is timeless, looks and feels designer and can easily be dressed up or dressed down.

It comes in a variety of colors.

Will Jacket

You’ll see women all over France wearing this jacket. It’s a lightweight, stylish take on the chore jacket. It’s great for Spring weather and early Fall.

I took this in a size M.

Sezane Sami Jumper and Naelle Skirt

Knit sets are still very much in this year and this one by Sezane is such an easy way to create a chic outfit without a lot of effort. 

I sized way up to an XL in this sweater and a size L in the skirt. Other colors are also available.

Sezane Adele Boots

A beautifully made, knee-high boot that has room in the calf but doesn’t read slouchy.

Sezane Sandy Skirt

I consider a slip skirt a wardrobe essential and Sezane really perfected it. I own it in several colors including this beautiful sand color. It is great with boots in particular.

I sized up to a size 8.

Sezane Lace Blouses

Sezane always is offering 2-3 beautiful lace blouses throughout the year and I have amassed a collection of them. They are so beautifully made and delicate looking. 

I always size up to an 8. If you’re looking for them on site they are often referred to as “Eglatine” or something similar to refer to the lace style.

Sezane Jack Jacket

The new Sezane Jack Jacket is so good. Part outerwear, part blazer and so chic. Wearing a size 6. 

Sezane Mederick Coat

A great wrap coat this is made from fabric that isn’t too heavy making it ideal for Fall and late Winter. I like the subtle details in its style and the fit is true to size.

I own it in 6 in the Navy but it comes in a variety of colors.

Sézane Sizing

I find nearly all French brands to run a bit snug so I always size up. Especially if you have a bigger chest as many French brands don’t design for larger chests. If you’re unsure on sizing, I recommend ordering two sizes to be sure as Sézane offers free return shipping.
