Happy September! Fall is nearly here and I am even more ready for it than usual this year after a very hot, very humid and very rainy summer in New York.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year for so many reasons but it is also my favorite season to get dressed. I’m excited to begin pulling out all my Fall favorites that I have rounded up to share with you today.
Long time readers will recognize a lot of these pieces and already know that I truly believe in making investments in your wardrobe for classic pieces that you know will be in style for years to come. In a time where we are all shopping less, I think key investment pieces can be far more rewarding than buying a lot of things you may discard by the time next Fall arrives.
Fall Clothes I Can’t Wait to Wear
These classic Veja sneakers.
This gorgeous Veronica Beard jacket. Nobody does blazers like Veronica Beard. (Size 6)
This Senreve bag that I’ve been wearing non-stop since I got it and for which Fall will be no exception! It’s the perfect size. Code WITWHIMSY will get you $50 off your first order over $300.
This cozy Alpaca sweater I live in come cooler weather. Wearing a M.
This turtleneck I love with jeans and with leggings. Wearing a M.
This dressier, chic take on the denim jacket to layer over my favorite Fall dresses. Wearing a 6.
This gingham sweater. Wearing a M.
This slouchy, soft striped tee by AYR. Wearing shade French Toast in a M.
The classic Sézane Colette Marinière Striped Tee. I am wearing a size M. Comes in a variety of colors.
Fall is Dudley Stephens season! The Park Slope turtleneck is my favorite style. Wearing a L.
I also love my Brighton Boatneck Dudley Stephens. Size L.
This utility jacket I just bought in a second color. Wearing a M.
I also have the Agolde Toni jeans in this cool wash.
This affordable Amazon sweater I own in two colors. Wearing a M.
This cozy and flattering recycled cashmere sweater by Cuyana. Wearing a M. Comes in several classic neutrals! Also these suede booties I wear so much.
These Commando faux leather leggings (size M).
This Fleece Sweatshirt (size M) and these Lululemon Align joggers (size 6) were two of my best quarantine buys. So comfy that I practically lived in both during cooler months earlier this year. I know I’ll be reaching for them a lot come Fall.
If I had a $1 for every time my girlfriends and I have discussed how amazing the Vuori joggers were this year, I’d be rich. We are obsessed. They are so soft, so comfy and manage to be stylish enough for both outdoor and indoor wear. I sized down to a Size Small. Read my full Vuori Joggers Review. (Wearing the Vuori Energy tank with the joggers in a size M).
The Ella Sweater Blazer Coat that’s so easy to throw on and look put together.
This lightweight and super affordable puffer jacket I wore on so many walks and hikes last Fall. Wearing a M.
My Marc Fisher Izzie boots in this gorgeous brown suede that are great for outdoor adventures in the Fall.
This classic Sézane Scott Trench Coat that’s beautifully made and so timeless. Wearing size 8.
This timeless blazer from Sezane. Wearing an 8.
My favorite Sézane Tomboy Button Down. I sized up to an 8 in this style.
The Sézane Victor Bag. Such a great crossbody.
I love the Levi’s so much I also bought them with a non-distressed hem seen here. Wearing a size 28.
These Inez Boots. They are so comfortable!
This little mini Gucci bag. It is one of my Fall & Winter favorites. It doesn’t fit much – just my phone, credit card and keys but it makes the perfect teeny companion to a lot of my outfits and ensures I let my doesn’t-show-up-often minimalism shine.
My Vince leather jacket. I bought it back in 2014 and it is still one of my most worn items that I own. It is the most buttery, soft leather and I love the fit so much. Faux, affordable similar style here.
These Stuart Weitzman boots (still one of my best investments) – they get so much wear every year and have been since I bought them over six years ago!
This White + Warren Essential Cashmere Sweater that comes in several classic colors like the camel I’m wearing. I love this sweater. It’s great alone but also ideal as a layering piece. The quality meets my standards. More cashmere picks of mine here. I’m wearing it with the Amour Vert Joggers which have been MVPs of mine in 2020. They are ribbed making them stylish yet soft enough for lounging. I’m wearing a M but also probably could have done a S. They now come in gray + navy, too. These were one of my most sold items in the first quarter of 2020!
My Golden Goose sneakers are a year-round wear for me (and even more this year!) but they are definitely Fall favorites when paired with jeans and a good blazer. I also love wearing them with my joggers.
The J.Crew Regent Blazer is just so.damn. good. My blazers will be getting less wear this year but I still plan to work them into outfits at every chance I can. They are actually perfect for Zoom calls this Fall I think! I wear a size 6.
This Everlane blazer that I now own in every color way (see below!) I size down to a size 2.
These J.Crew jeans (27).
These perfect + comfy cognac boots by Margaux.
This perfect “jardigan” that has one of the best fits of anything I own. An investment piece that wears well both closed or open. Wearing a M.
This classic Barbour jacket that’s a Fall Favorite and a piece I look forward to wearing every Fall. Wearing a US 8.
And this Barbour, too. Wearing a US 8.
The Sézane Johnson Coat. This coat is so beautifully tailored and a timeless silhouette. The sand color is a beautiful neutral but they also offer it in other colors as well. I sized up to a size 8. It is one of my favorites. I will likely buy the black this year.
My favorite ever sneakers. These are my most worn shoes year round!
