To say I’m in a summer state of mind would be a gross understatement. Following this weekend where I spent all of Saturday outdoors first at Smorgasburg and then on a Brooklyn rooftop sipping spiked lemonade, the summer spirit is alive. I’m plotting picnics in Central Park and getting my summer attire on repeat. (Not to mention listening to this song everywhere I go.)
After so many times seeing One Teaspoon shorts styled on Instagram, I bought this pair back in the Winter for my trip to Palm Springs. While I adore my boyfriend denim shorts, these cutoffs are a bit more casual and great for summer trips, beach visits and brunching on hot days.
And how fun is this wall? It reminds me of Starburst! These are the last set of photos Bekka and I shot in the Bushwick neighborhood of Brooklyn (see part one here and part two here.) My beachy waves are courtesy of the Amika Styleblow blow dry bar I tried out prior to shooting. I had such a great experience there and loved how summery my locks turned out. The space is bright, fun & would be such fun with a group of girlfriends. Highly recommend it if you’re in the NYC area and looking to have your hair done. (My favorite part? Their lookbook of styles is inspired by neighborhoods across the city!)
How was your guys’ weekend? I ate too much good food (tried to balance it with a Flywheel class + hot yoga) but my brother Kevin is in town for almost two weeks which is pretty much the greatest given he largely lives overseas. Trips are few and far between so any excuse to see him, catch up and eat some of my favorite NY plates is pretty much wonderful and 100% worth the calorie intake.
I hope you had a great one!
