It’s time for a round of The Beauty Edit and these four products are tried and tested and GOOD! I am lucky enough to try out a lot of beauty products. But every month I select just four that I’ve been using regularly and really cannot get enough of. You can see past beauty edits here and as always you can shop my current favorites here.
The Beauty Edit
Lord Jones Lemon Tincture
This tincture was one of my first forays into CBD and it is such a small dosage of CBD (10mg) that the calming effects of this tincture may be just placebo but overall I think I notice a slight decrease in my anxiety after a dropper of this. I bought the lemon but think I may prefer the peppermint next time or I may try the gummies which I’ve heard the best things about. This tincture isn’t enough to help my sleep but I do use it when I’m having an overwhelming day and think it would work great on travel days, too when things may be stressful. Be sure to consult with your doctor before you take any CBD products.
Wander Beauty Hidden Glow Cream
This is one of the dreamiest facial products I’ve tested in quite some time. It is rare I will test something and then get excited to use it again. This cream instantly adds a subtle glow to your face but also hydrates and works as a primer. Your skin will look smoother and more radiant and will be ready for your favorite bb cream or foundation instantly afterwards. I also love that it smells like lavender. It’s so calming to use! It is particularly divine when layered under this.
Beauty Pie
Beauty Pie bills itself as the Netflix of the beauty world. It’s a membership platform that allows you to access top-quality beauty products without the traditional markups. Once you have a membership you can buy their beauty products at cost price. Memberships start at $10 and can go up from there depending on how much you want to buy each month. So, as an example their mascara is the same formulation as Tom Ford but instead of around $60, it’s $10 because it comes without the brand name…Beauty Pie says a lot of their beauty is Charlotte Tilbury, Tom Ford and NARS-like and I spotted a lot of the same packaging/formulas I’ve come to know and love from brands I shop regularly like Bobbi Brown when I tried out the service.
They tout their skincare is made in the same labs (and use near same formulations) as companies like Elizabeth Arden, Estee Lauder, Elemis; among others. The concept is super interesting and to test it out I was given a credit and got these luminizing drops, this radiance powder, this contouring gel, this lip gloss oil, this liquid highlighter and this candle. I really love the luminizing drops and liquid highlighter. The candle I didn’t love the scent of but I’m also super intrigued to try more of their skincare after seeing fellow bloggers rave about things like the retinol hand cream and this cleanser.
Origins Clear Improvement Charcoal Honey Mask
Suffer from breakouts? Get this mask! It pairs some of my favorite ingredients for battling breakouts – charcoal for purifying and honey for antibacterial nourishment. I’ll use this wherever I have breakouts and my skin looks better immediately after. Redness is diminished and my skin is left more hydrated. See also: how I handle breakouts.
p.s. the beauty product I can’t stop using and my Amazon favorites.
