The Easy Outfit I Wear When I Don’t Want to Think About Getting Dressed

Easy Outfit with Blazer I wit & whimsy

We’ve reached that time in Winter where I am feeling 100% uninspired about getting dressed and 100% ready for a new season. Truthfully, I shouldn’t be complaining as we’ve had the most mild winter of all time here in New York (at least in my nine years here) with hardly any snow but alas, I’m feeling ready to shake things up with my wardrobe.

I have been continuing to majorly clean out my closet and streamline what I keep. I’ve been trying on a lot of things and wearing “should I keep this?” pieces so I can better determine yay or nay. And as I stare down a forthcoming move, I’m feeling an even bigger urge to purge.

Whenever I am feeling uninspired with the season I tend to become rather formulaic in my dressing on days that allow it. This time of year I inevitably reach for a sweater, a blazer, a favorite pair of jeans and whatever shoes the weather or my mood feel like. This outfit seen today is similar to that of the one seen here, here and here (among many other times) and is one that makes me feel put together but doesn’t require much thought. If you don’t already have a go-to formulaic outfit you can reach for when not wanting to put much time into getting ready, I highly encourage it! Makes getting out the door a breeze on the days where you just.can.not!
