Sharing my July Beauty Edit today!
I’m also working on bigger beauty posts that’ll feature my favorite products for sensitive skin and for oily skin so stay tuned for those in the coming weeks as well.
And as always, if you have any requests, please do feel free to email me at anytime!
Dermarché Labs FullFill
I forget where I heard about this cream but I’m pretty sure I send that person a bouquet of flowers to thank them! This stuff fights crow’s feet, upper lip wrinkles and smile lines. As I was looking 31 in the face, I figured I’d try it out and have to say that after somewhat religious use, I’ve definitely noticed the wrinkles around my eyes becoming diminished. The secret ingredient is hyaluronic acid which I’ve been hearing about everywhere recently. It works to improve skin’s volume and elasticity that helps lessen fine lines and deep wrinkles. This is pricey but anything where I actually feel like my crow’s feet are lessening is worth it in my book (#notgettinganyyounger!)
Stowaway Essential Eye Palette
All my last few trips have included toting this little eye palette and the one from last month’s beauty edit. The two combined ensure I have the perfect colors for day or night and I love how travel friendly both palettes are. In case you are unfamiliar, Stowaway Cosmetics is all about “right sized cosmetics” and I actually profiled one of their co-founders the other month. Read her cool story + more about the company all HERE.
bareMinerals Invisible Light Translucent Powder Duo
Anything that does double-duty beauty is good in my book and this duo has one powder that absorbs oil (#bless) and one that adds luminosity for highlighting. It vanishes as soon as it goes on and is a god-send when you don’t have much time in the morning.
philosophy Pure Grace Body Wash
This is one of those time-tested scents I’ll just never tire of. I first discovered it back in college and now have come to use this body wash daily because of it’s gel-like, creamy texture. It leaves my skin smooth and hydrated and smells just amazing. Following it with their body oil is also highly recommended. Soft, soft skin here you come!
Cover FX Contour Kit
I’ve been highly intrigued by the whole trend of contouring but honestly didn’t know where to start (anyone else feel this way?) One night while browsing Sephora I came across the video associated with this contour kit and I was instantly interested in trying it out. I then (shortly thereafter) happened to meet the makeup artist featured in the video and he totally sold me on the kit’s magic. This kit has four blendable shades and comes with a step by step instructions card making it nearly foolproof! I’ve come to use it in prep for any big events or shoots (including this one) because it’s an easy step to add that I think makes a major difference. In my opinion, the brush for the kit is pretty essential as well and highly recommend it. While contouring looks insane in some YouTube videos, it doesn’t have to be intimidating. This kit will help you get the hang of it in a snap – highly, highly recommend it! (And definitely check out the video on Sephora if you’re wanting to know more!)
p.s. all my favorite French beauty products and recommended updates for your summer beauty routine.
I recently bought that bareMinerals palette, too! I loved the subtle shimmer; it does take a few weeks to get the powders to really start loosening up, though, but it’s been a nice little addition for summer.
You’re right! glad to hear you like it, too!
