With Fall nearly here as far as I am concerned, I’ve been planning what to wear this fall and can’t wait to start reaching for my favorite pieces again.
Fall is my absolute favorite time of year for so many reasons but it is also my favorite season to get dressed. I always love updating this post each year because it reminds me how many items I can’t wait to pull out for styling in the months ahead.
I’m excited to begin pulling out all my Fall favorites that I have rounded up to share with you today. This post is such a labor of love but I hope you’ll bookmark it as you shop this season and find it helpful! It’s been freshly updated for 2026.
Don’t miss subscribing to my Substack, The Noteworthy Edit either where I’m sharing exclusive Fall content, too. I’ve already done a post on what I have bought (so far!!) for Fall.
Long time readers will recognize a lot of these pieces and already know that I truly believe in making investments in your wardrobe for classic pieces that you know will be in style for years to come. I’ve given this post a full refresh and included some of my newest purchases in it.
I am so excited to revisit a lot of my favorite items this Fall and hope this post will inspire you as you shop as well! The only reason I can do posts like this with images old and new is because of investing in classic pieces that hold up.
As always, you can shop my closet in The Shop which I regularly update!
Things in My Closet I Can’t Wait to Wear This Fall

This plush crewneck sweater. Wearing a M.
And these Veronica Beard jeans (size 28).

This Smythe blazer that has such a great fit and a gorgeous coloration. Wearing a S. (It’s on sale!)
The tee underneath is very old Me + Em.

These boots that are comfy and easy to walk in and great for pairing with skirts and dresses.
Seen worn with this medallion necklace.

This favorite pinstripe blazer that was just restocked (Size 8). And this gorgeous bag.
Seen layered with my favorite layering tee (size M) that I can’t wait to wear all season long alongside my other two favorites – this one (size L) and this one (size XL).
I am so, so picky when it comes to good tees and these three are 10s.

My collection of Barbour jackets. They are all such classics and some I’ve owned for over ten years now. I always like seeing the edit that Shopbop carries.
This one is on sale. Wearing a US 8.
And my Tiger sneakers – I love them so much I just bought a second colorway!

This Aritzia tee is a favorite. It’s got a great fit, the right amount of stretch and a nice ribbed fabric. I sized up to an XL. Seen paired with these great Citizens of Humanity jeans (size 28).

These great gray jeans. I much prefer a dark gray to a black jean at the moment. These have a great fit (they sculpt a bit!) and I got so much wear out of them last Fall and Winter.
Wearing size 28.

This gorgeous suede tote that will make the perfect day-at-my-co-working space companion.

The AYR The Chaser jeans are a new acquisition of mine for Fall. They are great- I sized up to a 29.
Seen styled with the La Ligne Mini Marina which is a favorite cotton sweater (size XL).

These new Asics sneakers which have great vintage vibes and a colorway I adore. This pair of New Balanaces in on my fall wish list FWIW!)

And in other Fall sneaker news – these Miu Miu x New Balances I bought in Paris for my birthday this summer. I loooooove them.
(For a more affordable alternative with a similar vibe – try these.)

This leather mini skirt. Definitely size up – I am wearing a 10.

Jeans and Blazer
The Staud Wally boots I got last Winter and wear so much thanks to being so comfortable. They have a variety of styles and colors of the silhouette for this year, and they’re perfect when thinking about what to wear this fall.
And this beautiful plaid Sezane blazer they’ve just restocked for the season (size 6).

My Bottega Andiamo bag + these great Margaux boots. Give me all the shades of chocolate and mocha again this Fall!

This J.Crew cashmere crewneck gets such a workout for me every Fall and Winter. I love it. Wearing a size L.

These Varley pants are favorites of mine. Comfy yet put together.

This slip skirt (Size L).

My Toteme chocolate brown sneakers.

My collection of Veronica Beard blazers. Nobody does it better and I get so much wear out of mine.

This button down blouse with the sweetest ruffle collar. Wearing a US 10.

The best ever knit trouser I love traveling in. Wearing a size L.

Aeyde Kitten Heel Boots
I’d always heard good things about this brand and eyed a lot of their styles so last year I finally invested in this on-trend, yet classic pair of oh so comfortable and walkable boots and they quickly became one of my most worn pair of the year. The leather is gorgeous.

Cashmere half zip
This cashmere half zip from Jenni Kayne that was one of my most worn (oh so cozy!) sweaters of the last few winters. Size M. I also own the knit in the pretty ivory color.

The best little cropped jacket. Size M.

This cashmere layering tee (L).

This classic navy blazer (size 6).
Now available in more extended sizes!

These gorgeous Larroude boots. They are so comfortable and chic.

La Ligne Solid Lean Lines Cardigan
Prefer a cardigan? This style now comes in a cardigan version. I bought it in black in a size L.

The La Ligne Ben Polo Sweater
I’m very into the polo sweater trend this season. Wearing a size L but could have probably done a M in this knit.
Seen worn with these boots.

The La Ligne Solid Lean Lines V-Neck Sweater
I am not usually a v-neck gal, but this one changed my mind. I’m wearing mine in a size L but probably could have done a M as the neckline makes it fit a bit different than the crewneck I own in several colors and adore.
I particularly like it layered over a favorite crewneck tee.

These chic water resistant boots perfect for Fall adventures.
I love these. They are so lightweight which makes them non cumbersome to travel with. I own three colors now!

One of my favorite do-it-all pair of black pants from M.M.LaFleur (6).

The AYR Bud Jeans are great, too.

And I am always reaching for my AYR Deep End button down (size M).

My favorite Sézane Tomboy Button Down.
I sized up to a 10 in this style.

These Inez Boots.
They are so comfortable and hold up with 20K+ steps a day when in Paris. I’ve been wearing these since 2019!

I also own the Inez Paz in the leather version. Again, I can’t recommend these enough for comfortable walking boots.

This little mini Gucci bag.
It is one of my Fall & Winter favorites. It doesn’t fit much – just my phone, credit card and keys but it makes the perfect teeny companion to a lot of my outfits and ensures I let my doesn’t-show-up-often minimalism shine.

I splurged on this Nour Hammour Artiste jacket when in Paris this past March and I never got to wear it so I honestly cannot wait to wear it this season.
It’s even better in person. The French brand makes the most gorgeous leather jackets I’ve seen.

I took a size 8 in the shorts.

This favorite oversized cashmere sweater (sized down to a S) by Jenni Kayne – I love this knit so much I just got it in the pretty gray shade.
And these Toteme silk pants I adore for travel (size 36).

My La Ligne Colby pants (size M – I had them hemmed!)

Really incredible resource with beautiful pieces. Would you say the “‘magic pant” from mmlafleur is TTS? Small ? Thank you !
They’re very fitted as a ponte pant – so almost fit me like a legging in my usual size! If you want a bit more give I’d size up! And I’m 5’5” and had to get the Short!
Thanks Meghan! I already own a lot of these items, thanks to your recommendations, and I’m excited to wear them again too, instead of feeling that I have nothing to wear as in the past.
