Budget Friendly Holiday Outfits

November 13, 2025

Collage of budget-friendly holiday outfits from Wit & Whimsy showcasing festive looks including a black faux fur jacket, gold metallic dress, burgundy bow-strap gown, red tweed mini dress, and elegant accessories like black slingback heels, velvet handbags, and bow earrings.

I love scouring the web this time of year to find holiday looks at all price points. While I largely stick to a neutral color palette throughout the year, I have fun leaning into rich hues, luxe fabrics, and a little bit of sparkle this time of year. All the retailers have been dropping such good holiday collections with jewel tones and sequins and I have had so much fun sourcing some great ideas.

Today’s post is dedicated to budget friendly holiday outfits but if you need even more inspiration don’t miss Holiday Outfit Ideas in The Holiday Shop!

Budget Friendly Holiday Outfits

If you’re ready to embrace holiday fashion but don’t want to break the bank, everything I’ve curated in today’s post is under $300.

1. Ann Taylor Faux Fur Jacket

I think a faux fur jacket is such a festive topper this time of year. I like the look of this cropped version, it reminds me of piece I have from J.Crew a few years back and I will say it’s surprisingly versatile for party season.

2. Tuckernuck Velvet Bow Earrings

While I typically keep my jewelry understated and minimal, I’m in the camp that you simply must add a bit of sparkle come holiday season. These chic bow earrings are under $75 and would add the perfect extra little something to any outfit.

3. J.Crew Tennis Bracelet

I’ve long been a fan of brands like Dorsey and Aurate for their affordable jewels, but when you really want to stick within a budget I think J.Crew’s selection of jewelry has plenty of options worth browsing like this little tennis bracelet.

4. Tuckernuck Gold Jacquard Dress

Tuckernuck’s in-house brand has so many festive pieces at a great price point (like this and this that I like as well)! This gorgeous jacquard midi is perfect for the holiday season (and beyond!) and such a flattering silhouette. Pair it with either boots or a simple, sophisticated pump.

5. Tuckernuck Oxblood Bow Dress

Another standout from Tuckernuck uner $250, this dress with bow details on the shoulders comes in a few different colors but I think this deep red color is so festive. It feels very on trend for this year.

6. Zara Buckle Blazer

If you’re only looking to add one piece to your holiday wardrobe, I would recommend a chic statement blazer. It’s an easy way to infuse a bit of festiveness into your outfit without going over the top.

Layer over a slip dress, or a silk tank and jeans. You could also opt for a velvet blazer or tuxedo blazer. I personally love wearing a velvet blazer with a pair of jeans and my favorite pumps.

7. Black Velvet Midi Dress

If you’re looking for a versatile dress you can wear all season long, I’d opt for this classic black velvet dress that’s under $100!

8. Aqua Tweed Mini Dress

Aqua (Bloomindale’s in-house, private label brand) makes some of my favorite affordable tweed pieces, so I was delighted to see this red mini dress in their holiday drop.

Add tights for a bit if coverage and warmth if needed, but I like that this feels festive and playful without showing too much skin. A great option for an office holiday party.

9. Sam Edelman Velvet Slingbacks

Chic velvet slingbacks will carry you through the holidays and well into Winter. From holiday parties, to New Year’s Eve, to weddings — these are easily worth their cost per wear.

10. Old Navy Satin Slip Skirt

I adore a slip skirt in Fall and Winter, and how great is this merlot color for the season? I would style it with a chunky knit and heels for a casual but elevated holiday party look.

11. J.Crew Factory Velvet Chain Bag

Don’t sleep on J.Crew Factory this time of year for budget friendly picks! This velvet chain bag goes with just about everything.

12. Mango Velvet Handbag

This handbag reminds me of Veronica Beard but at a fraction of the cost. The architectural details are très chic. This sparkly mini bag also caught my eye.

13. J.Crew Bow Pearl Drop Earring

I’m not a huge bow person, but the holidays are the one time I make an exception. These strike the right balance of festive and classic, and would be a nice addition to any LBD.

14. Dolce Vita Velvet Mule

If you’re not leaning into a little bit of sparkle during the holidays, you’re doing something wrong! These embellished mules are just too fun and add the perfect amount of cheer to your look.
