This past week I’ve been trying to get to Central Park as much as possible because the first week of November is almost always peak Fall colors. Central Park has been my happy place since I first moved to New York City nearly 10 years ago and the magic of the park during this time of year never gets old.
One of my favorite places in Central Park is always the Bow Bridge in the middle of the park. This cast iron bridge is so romantic in its style and perfectly nestled between the Bethesda Fountain and the Ramble. At this time of year the trees surrounding the bridge light up in an array of festive colors making it a must-see. The bridge was completed in 1862 and designed to stand out amidst its surrounding and it certainly does. I always try and take time to stand on this bridge and watch the boats go by below and just people watch. There’s always such a beautiful sentiment in the air as people enjoy this bridge. You kind of have to experience it to get it. Have you been to the Bow Bridge?
As an aside, a lot of my J.Crew favorites and recent purchases are 40% off through today. Here’s a look at them:
Of note do not miss this holiday candle – it smells AMAZING. Even more J.Crew picks at 40% off (and Madewell at 30% off!) here!

Everlane Dream Coat + Cashmere Turtleneck Dress (M; c/o) // Cashmere Scarf (I’ve had this for 4 years! Comes in loads of colors) // Stuart Weitzman Boots (more Fall/Winter shoe favorites here) // Bag
p.s. what to wear for Thanksgiving and cozy sherpa jackets and sweaters.
My kids and I miss NYc so much. It’s one of our favorite trips. We are so sad we won’t get to come for our annual Christmas trip. Thanks for sharing and bring us along on some of our favorite spots .
Beautiful! Love the Fal color and your outfit.
Thank you so much, Elizabeth!
Love this look on you! I also love how the color of your dress plays off the color of the bridge and planters! Amazing ??
Thank you so much, Christine!
