End of Summer Style
I always have to remind myself this time of year that summer temperatures truly don’t end in New York until about October. Which, when you do fashion blogging, can be extremely difficult as you sweat through September to capture looks. You guys know I’m much more pro-Fall than I am pro-Summer but I also love the days that let you wear your favorite tanks with jeans + open toed shoes like today’s outfit!
The high 60s / low 70s days of wearing a mix of Summer and Fall pieces are such a rarity and we’ve had a few this past week that just made me so happy. I have to revel in them after so many extremely hot days and also the fact that soon we’ll all be complaining about it being too cold. But, until winter arrives, you can count on me being oh-so-happy about the slightly cooler temperatures.
I haven’t transitioned my closet over from Summer-centric to Fall/Winter yet as I’m still reaching for breezy tanks and sandals. I’ll also keep tanks like this one out all year, too as I like to use them as layering pieces under blazers or oversized cardigans for nights out.
A few other transitional pieces I’m eyeing at the moment:
This cute blouse (the back buttons! love), this chic short sleeve sweater, this plaid top, this pretty eyelet blouse, this versatile jumpsuit, this lace top, this top, this striking trench and these cool slingbacks (as mentioned here).
. . .
Cami NYC Tank (wearing M; also have this one in Black and in White) // Jeans (on sale; wearing 28) // Staud Clothing Bag (finally restocked! wearing it here, here) // Hoop Earrings (only $25) // Celine Sunglasses // Miansai Cuff / Giles & Brothers Cuff // M.Gemi Sandals (identical ones here)
p.s. my Fall wish list and cute polka dot pieces.
