Ever since becoming a small business owner myself back in 2016, I’ve been much more keen on supporting others who are waking up every morning, being their own bosses, working so hard and pursuing their dreams.

In today’s age of online shopping I think it’s even more important to support small businesses so today I’m looking forward to sharing my gift ideas from small businesses. 

As a bit of background, small businesses often cannot afford to be a part of affiliate networks which is how content creators like myself make a lot of their income (purchases = commission & money earned) so often they aren’t included as much. However, as mentioned I have made it a priority to champion small businesses for the past six years and I am committed to doing so!

You guys support my small businesses and I am forever grateful for that so I see posts like this (that take a lot of time and do not equate to much income for me) as a way of paying it forward. 

I had so much fun compiling this and I’d love to hear what you guys like the most in this guide or if you buy any gifts!

Gift Ideas from Small Businesses

1. Cuyana Leather Travel Case Set

This is always on my list as a great gift to give! These leather pouches are so beautifully crafted and supports families of leather makers in Argentina. One of my very favorite gifts to give.

2. Tuckernuck Cocktail Napkins

Tuckernuck was started by three women in search of curating apparel and gifts for a fun-filled life, and I think these champagne napkins are just that! I think linen cocktail napkins make a great gift for just about anyone, they also have a few different embroidery designs to choose from. 

3. Mr. P’s Hudson Valley Trio Set

I have had the honor of getting to know the founders of Mr. P’s Placecards, Martin and Karen, over the past few summers I’ve spent visiting  Upstate New York and their lifestyle brand is full of beautiful items. This set includes my very favorite Lemon Curd as well as two of their other bestsellers. Not only did it make Oprah’s list of favorite things last year – for good reason – it is truly such a great gift for the favorite host or hostess in your life!

4. Mr. Boddington’s Colorful Notecard Set

This whimsical stationery company is based here in Brooklyn and their cards and notebooks feature the loveliest illustrations. For the parents in your life, they’ll adore this set of lunch notes (featured in Goop’s gift guide). If you’re ever in Brooklyn I recommend checking out their store!

5. Petite Plume Silk Eye Mask

Last year I had the pleasure of meeting the founder of La Petite Plume when she threw an event with M.M.LaFleur for a collaboration they worked on. I think this luxurious silk eye mask is a lovely stocking stuffer!

While I’ve long been a fan of the Five Minute Journal, I’ve heard great things about this beautifully made Five Year Journal. 11. Catskills Candle Studio Candles

While I’m a city girl at heart, I can’t deny that Upstate New York has a special piece of my heart (I’ve loved visiting the Finger Lakes region and the Catskills). Catskills Candle Studio is a female owned business creating simple and clean candles inspired by the natural beauty and fresh air of the mountains. This Cashmere + Cozy candle or this Campfire + Fir candle would be so cozy to burn during the winter months.

11. Fazeek Coupe Glasses

Fazeek is an Australian company that’s developed a cult following for its colorful handblown glassware. For the mixologist in your group, I think these wave coupe glasses are absolutely gorgeous and would be so beautiful perched on a bar. The matching water glasses are fun as well.
