The latest early summer collections from J.Crew and Madewell have dropped and I saw a lot of pieces I am loving so I thought I’d share my favorites from the two brands in today’s post.

I am also sharing a variety of items from them that I own and love already with sizing guidance for you as you shop!

90s Linen Blend Shift Dress

I adore this dress. It’s comfy and yet chic with the buttoned straps. It gives Carrie Bradshaw. I’m wearing an 8.

Seamed Bodice Linen Midi

This has a beautiful seamed bodice like another one of my all time favorite midi dresses. I already want to buy the white as well. I sized up to an 8 for a more comfortable fit in the bust.

J.Crew Elena Shirtdress

How perfect is this midi shirt dress? The full skirt had me adding it to my cart immediately. It’s a perfect lightweight cotton so I know it’ll get use all through summer. The white is a bit sheer so I am wearing a slip underneath.

I found it true to size and am wearing a 6. It also comes in a pattern, black and green if those are more your speed!

I added these woven ballet flats to up the springtime vibes. I love the warm weather take on the ballerina offered by this pair.

J.Crew Edie Top Handle Bag

New favorite bag of the moment alert! I have always wanted a cute little top handle bag shaped like this so I was so excited that J.Crew expanded their Edie bag styles with this one.

The ivory is going to be so good for pairing with all my favorite spring and summer dresses and I haven’t stopped reaching for this bag since it arrived. Black is also available.

J.Crew A-line Linen Midi Dress

I was torn on whether to pick this up in white or black but in the end opted for black as I think it’ll be a good dress come sweaty summer days. I sized up to an 8 as I almost always have to do in button-front garments. I definitely recommend sizing up if you have a larger chest.

You can wear it with a belt as I did as it comes with belt loops and I chose a dressier heel but I also think this dress will be so cute with flat sandals, ballerina flats or sneakers.

If you’re in the market for a good straw tote, this one from J.Crew is great. It comes in several colors, fits so much and is lightweight and easy to pack down flat for summer getaways.

Over my shoulders I draped the J.Crew cashmere cardigan that is perfect for versatile styling. I sized up to a L in it. It is one of my go-tos for over the shoulders styling when my favorite summer dresses. 

This adorable striped Lady Jacket.

I sized up to a L as I think it runs rather snug / cropped. Had my name all over it, right?

It now comes in loads of colorways and stripes.

This linen button down.

I sized up to an 8. This shirt also makes for a great cover up over swimsuits! It’s been a staple in my closet since I got it back in 2020.

All of J.Crew’s new linen collection is worth exploring this season. I just love linen season so much.

This slip dress.

Comes in several colors! I’m wearing a 6 but I’d size up if you don’t want it too form fitting. It pairs well with a denim jacket over it, a lady jacket or even with sandals and a cardigan tied around the waist for a more casual look.

I love it for summer travels in particular because once rolled it takes up next to no space in a suitcase!

Wearing a M.

This slip skirt I own in four colors!

I size down to a size Small. It now comes in so many fun, bright colors for warmer weather. I just picked up the cute new polka dot print one.

And they now offer it in a linen, too.

The Icon Trench

A great layering piece for cooler summer weather. I have owned mine in size 6 for 4+ years!

 

Madewell 

From season to season I find Madewell hit or miss. But the latest new arrivals are really good. The Madewell shoes this summer are so good in particular!

Leather Trimmed Straw Mini Tote

I adore this bag! It’s the perfect size for summer evenings and has Khaite vibes but is under $100!

They also make a bigger shopper tote in a similar style if you’d like more room. It comes in brown leather piping, too  

Harlow Wide Leg Linen Pants

I adore these under $100 linen pants. The wide leg is on trend and they wear well despite their 100% linen makeup. Seen styled in the South of France with this Veronica Beard jacket (size 8).

The pants come in loads of colors if you’d like more variety from black!
