Longtime readers will know I really have come to prioritize building a wardrobe of classic, timeless pieces that can be styled a variety of ways. I invest in my wardrobe to be able to have pieces that make me feel wonderful when I put them on and I want to be able to wear the pieces I purchase for years to come – not just for a season. 

One Midi Dress, Three Ways

One of my personal favorite silhouettes year round is the midi dress. And for the last two years I have loved styling the Staud Wells Dress. When I saw it on Saks Fifth Avenue in Navy this summer, I instantly scooped it up. I already own it in white and black and both get so much wear. I knew the Navy would be able to be styled several ways and most importantly – it would work well into Fall which I was excited about. I wear an 8 in this dress as the bodice is rather fitted so to accommodate my chest I sized up and love the fit on the 8.

I love navy paired with cognac so I added some favorite cognac accessories to this summer-time ready outfit. I had been eyeing this Longchamp Bag for at least a year and know it is going to get so much wear year round.

Look Two

Navy and black has become a favorite color combination for me in recent years. I have always loved a monochromatic look so I added a navy sweater atop my shoulders for this outfit and then accessories with a black bag and black sandals. I think this color combo is an easy way to elevate any look.

Look Three

Anyone else looking forward to Fall fashion already? This Veronica Beard Blazer  has been on my wish list for years and now that it is finally in my life…I am in love. The quality of her jackets is unmatched (I have several other blazers by the brand that are all equally as special and always make me feel so put together) and I love the rich navy color with the silver buttons. Adding it atop the dress makes this dress work well into cooler temperatures and I know I will wear it so much with favorite jeans and trousers this coming Fall.
