The recent warmer weather and the welcoming of Spring has done wonders for my mood! Who is with me on that!? I am also so happy to be fully vaccinated and as such have some more social plans on the calendar. It was a long winter and a lonely one largely so I am thrilled my world is opening up just a bit more – cautiously of course but – optimistically, too.
I am so happy to be partnering with Ann Taylor once again to bring you this bucket list! Their latest collection is out now and it is full of beautiful pieces that’ll have you excited to once again get dressed in real clothes and head outside for fun and safe plans.
I had such fun styling this first look – these high-waisted Denim Shorts make such a chic combination when paired with a tweed jacket or blazer – so much so that I had to show it with two jacket silhouettes! And how cute is this Ann Taylor Striped Sweater? It’s the perfect weight for Spring days and I love that it can be worn alone or paired under a light jacket.
I topped off these looks with accessories ready for the warm days – Leather Sandals and the perfect Provence-inspired Straw Tote that features the cutest strawberry lining you ever did see! I think these looks are perfect for afternoons at the museum, brunch with friends or evening drinks. And these jackets are so, so good. What I love about the coloring of them is that they can be worn year round, too.
And look two is perfect for dinners out or date nights this Spring – and even to summer. This Ribbed Knit Dress is so comfy and yet so stylish. You could wear it with sneakers, flat sandals or more dressed up with Bow Suede Heels if you’re ready to start wearing heels again like I am!
I hope these looks inspire you to do a little Spring shopping & make some fun plans to coincide with your new outfits.
Now, onto my bucket list for the season!
My Spring 2021 Bucket List
Grow fresh herbs for cocktails & cooking.
My friend got me these cute kits and I finally planted the mint and basil and I’m hopeful they’ll grow and allow me to have fresh herbs on hand for cocktails and cooking!
Visit Governors Island.
I’ve only been over to Governors Island once before and I’d love to revisit to walk around and get drinks and fish tacos at Island Oyster.
Go to the Red Hook Winery.
Last summer I rode a bike down to Red Hook and it was such fun. I want to do so again and check out the Red Hook Winery this time.
Try two new-to-me local restaurants.
I have my favorites in the neighborhood but there are so many I still need to try in neighboring spots.
Picnic at the park.
I’m so excited for picnic season to return!
Visit the Dumbo Flea Market.
Despite living up the street for several years, I still haven’t visited the Brooklyn Flea location in Dumbo! I want to check out the treasures and see what I find.
Try Oddfellows ice cream.
I can’t wait for the return of ice cream weather and I want to try this spot I’ve never gotten around to trying.
Go on a road trip.
I’ve got one planned and leave for it soon! My brother and his fiance have rescheduled their big wedding to next May and instead are getting married in an immediately-family only ceremony in St. Louis next month so I’ll be driving there for the weekend.
Read three books.
I’ve been slacking on my reading goal so this season I want to read at least three books.
Go on a hike.
I am so glad the great outdoors weather has returned! I am going to be in Colorado for part of May so I can’t wait to go on a hike or two.
Watch two documentaries.
I feel like there’s been so many documentaries that have come out lately and I haven’t watched any! (Have any recs for me!?)
Bake lemon bars.
I’ve been craving some Spring baking and lemon bars are on the top of my list. Does anyone have a recipe they love?
. . .
