RMS Beauty Review

RMS Beauty really helped pioneer more mainstream clean beauty use. Clean beauty offers all sorts of advantages and RMS Beauty was one of the earlier brands to really create products that didn’t sacrifice performance when they cut out toxic chemicals. I’ve tried a lot of the products in the line and today I am sharing which ones are worth it – and which ones to skip.

The brand has made a lot of changes since I first wrote this review so it has been updated with the latest SKUs I’ve tried and therefore some of the packaging seen in my photos is now no longer accurate as a head’s up.

RMS Beauty Review

RMS Beauty is the brainchild of makeup artist Rose Marie Swift who wanted to limit the impact of toxic makeup and daily exposure to chemicals that we often are exposed to due to every day makeup use. RMS focused on using organic ingredients and really getting skin to glow. There is also a big emphasis on formulating with hydrating ingredients as well making it great for aging skin that may be on the drier side.

Is RMS Beauty cruelty free?

RMS is a high quality, clean cosmetics line that is also cruelty free, non-GMO, non-nano, hypoallergenic and non comedogenic. The line has entirely removed toxic chemicals like parabens, sulfates, phthalates, silicone and talc as well.

RMS Beauty Review

RMS “Re” Evolve Radiance Locking Primer

This primer was designed to lock in your A.M. skincare and grip your makeup all day. I really like the density of it but also that it gives a good glow while also smoothing skin. It gives a great sense or radiance and I love that the package is refillable! It’s formulated with vegetable squalane, hyaluronic acid and eggplant fruit extract and is gel texture.

If you’ve tried my favorite Saie Super Glowy Gel, this is similar but is a bit thicker and more hydrating.

RMS Foundation Review

RMS Un Cover-Up Cream Foundation

This is a good foundation if you like more full coverage foundations. It is super creamy and blends out well with the foundation brush the brand sells to go along with it. The finish on it is lightweight despite the coverage provided and I feel like it gives a great luminosity to the skin. I do have to use loose powder to set it however.

Comes in 16 shades. I use shade 00.

RMS Foundation Brush

This angled foundation brush was designed to really hug the curves of your face as you apply your foundation. The bristles are tightly layered to help blend and I found it did a great job applying their Un Cover Up Foundation.

RMS Blush Review

RMS Pressed Blush

This blush in shade Lost Angel was holy grail for me – a true favorite in the category but sadly it has been discontinued. They released a new blush (see below) that is really good, too but I sure miss the shade Lost Angel that I used to adore.

RMS ReDimension Hydra Powder Blush

This multi-dimensional powder blush provides a silky smooth and luminous finish. It uses a sugar-derived wet powder technology to give a long-lasting finish. It glides on effortlessly and is buildable. The formula features buriti and organic jojoba oil that nourish and smooth the skin as you wear it. I also like that the mirrored compact is 75% PCR and refillable.

It comes in a lot of shades and I own shade Hanky Panky which is a pretty berry shade hue with a bit of glow that I particularly like wearing in Fall and Winter.

They also released a Hydra Powder Bronzer but I haven’t yet tried it.

RMS Lip2Cheek

This was the first product I ever bought from RMS – it’s been a hero product of theirs essentially from the start. The product provides a buildable wash of color and was formulated to hydrate so you won’t find it drying on the skin or on your lips. The color wash is pretty sheer but you can build up on it as mentioned.

A little goes a long way though so use sparingly at first! Given its multi-tasking benefits, this is a great product to keep in your bag or travel with.

Comes in 10 shades with Demure being my personal go-to.

RMS Highlighter Review

RMS Master Radiance Base

For a super, super glowy look, add this cream highlighter to your face at your highlight points before you apply foundation.

This base has jojoba, chia and meadowfoam seed oils so skin gets hydrated and firmed with use. You get a soft but impactful glow.

You can use it alone, as a base, mixed with foundation or as a highlighter on face or body. A great multi-tasker that delivers mega-wattage glow so just be sure to use sparingly!

RMS Luminizer

A perfectly pocket sized “living luminizer” that I find is great for travel. It adds a nice delicate glowy effect to skin without going overboard.

I have the peach shade which has a nice bronze-yness to it. Like the Lip2Cheek product it is perfectly portable.

RMS ReDimension Hydra Dew Luminizer

A truly subtle yet beautiful glow from this powder highlighter.

RMS Lipnights Overnight Lip Mask

This lip balm is really nourishing, and I found it to deeply hydrate lips. I don’t personally love the packaging though and wish it were easier to apply.

RMS Un-Cover Up

A lot of people love the brand’s Un-Cover Up concealer but it wasn’t for me. It was too slick in its application and didn’t have enough staying power for me.

It is available in more than 16 shades.

Go Nude Lip Pencil

I like the color payoff on this lip liner and am pretty picky about lip liners! (This brand’s are still my favorite though!)

RMS Swift Eye Shadow

This product has been discontinued sadly as I can no longer find it in stock but I hope they bring it back as I loved it!

I have and use nearly daily the shade Garden Rose. The only eye shadow they have now is a more cream to powder formula.

Where is RMS Beauty Sold?

The brand is sold on their RMS Beauty website and at popular retailers like Credo Beauty, Dermstore, Nordstrom and via Amazon

The brand’s own website has some great sets if you want to try multiple products before committing and I also love that they have their bestsellers easily shoppable.

There have been some newer launches I haven’t yet tried and I’ll be sure to update this post once I’ve done so!

My salon just posted this brand and I immediately hopped over here. I love knowing when I see a clean beauty brand I can come to the blog and get your thoughts all at once – it’s super important and enlightening!
