With how much I wear the J.Crew Sophie Sweater Blazer, I knew my closet would love the J.Crew Ella Sweater Blazer which is a similar style that runs longer. It’s a bit like a sweater coat and I got so much wear out of it in the Fall and know it’ll be back in rotation come Spring.
Styling the J.Crew Ella Sweater Blazer
I love that this sweater blazer hits at mid-thigh making it have the silhouette of a coat. It’s a great knit with the right level of weight to it making it ideal to wear as both a cardigan and a lightweight coat. With a longer style like this I always opt for a cropped jean. I chose my very favorite ankle-length jeans: the Agolde Toni jeans. I am 5’5″ and they hit perfectly at my ankle. I added my most used bag of the past year- this beautifully made Sezane Victor bag.
The Ella Long Sweater Blazer sold out last year and has been back ordered for a long time but a variety of sizes are now back in stock. It comes in several colors and I am wearing the Heather Khaki color. Other colors available include a navy and a blossom-pinky peach color. I’m hopeful they come out with this style in black, too!
How does the J.Crew Ella Sweater Blazer sizing run?
As for how this sweater blazer runs – I found it ran rather large. I wear a Small in the similar Sophie Sweater Blazer but in the Ella I sized down to a size XS and possibly could have even done an XXS. I usually wear a M in J.Crew for reference (am a size 6). The fit is rather oversized so definitely order one size down. at least.
It is available in sizes XXX-Small through 3X.
This exact style is sold out right now but until it is restocked I found even more J.Crew Sweater Blazer Styles and some other similar styles below, too:
