Happy Friday from the South of France! I had a hell of a time getting here (flight delays! flights missed! An entire day spent unplanned at CDG!) and so it goes with summer travel.
But this made it all worth it. It was stressful and anxiety-ridden but an important reminder that the journey may not always be smooth but the effort is always worth it. I swam so much in the sea, had some nice reading time and then my friend Whitney flew in to join me and it’s been the best getting 1:1 catch up time.
I hope you enjoy this week’s edit and have a wonderful weekend!
The Weekly Edit 7.24.26
WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:
- I’m scouting two hotels for En Route to Rêverie here in the South of France. One had long been on my bucket list and one is newly opened. I’m glad to be experiencing both and now have my POV for clients interested in them.
READ + BOOKMARK:
- Summer skincare tips from derms.
- Ways to be a good friend.
- Why gatekeeping is important in tourism (preaching to the choir over here! I’ve been saving all my favorite recs across the UK and France for En Route to Rêverie clients so they don’t become over exposed).
- Expensive things that are worth it.
- Charming local grocery stores across the U.S.
- Literary choices for your next beach vacation that aren’t rom-coms.
- 43 ways to feel better.
NOTEWORTHY FINDS:
- The Nordstrom Sale is now live to all – if you want to see my edit of worthwhile buys check out this post and this post.
- One of my favorite pastimes has become searching on Vestiare Collective. For silk scarves, Chanel ballet flats (scouring for a gold pair in my size!), vintage Gucci bags and the voyeur in me looooves looking at Chanel medium and small flaps they have available. (And btw they have some great looking Celine box bags which is one of my most used bags in my bag collection and a style the brand no longer makes!)
- So many good new arrivals at Shopbop including this darling dress (size up in this brand!), this lace trimmed tee, these flip flops, these jeans, these sneakers and these sneakers, too, this cap and these jeans they restocked that I bought last year (TTS).
- And given we are still very much still in LWD season – my favorites on Shopbop right now are this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one, this one and this one.
- These little waffle pouches that can be highly customized would make such cute gifts!
- After seeing me mention my love of their dish soap last week, Public Goods reached out to issue us a 15% off code! Use MEGHAN15 at checkout. They have so many good essentials for at home.
- Dare I say these are a high end flip flop!? They’re so chic!
- Larroude makes one of my favorite chic pairs of boots and I just spotted a lot of other good boot styles on sale as part of their pre-order promotion. Buy now and save 30% off and then have your boots in-hand come Fall! I like these, these, these, these and these. These slingbacks and these sneakers also look great.
- I was so grateful with last week’s air quality issues in NYC that I had my two air purifiers running on high. These remain one of my best, boring purchases ever.
- And in other home purchases that are well worth it – last week my friend who recently moved states texted me “Thank for for mentioning the Jolie shower filter!! I got one today because the water here SUCKS! And my hair is clean for the first time in a week ?”
- Haus Labs is running their semi-annual sale offering 20% off if you need a restock. Lately I’ve been using their concealer and I really love this blush by them.
- Reminder to not sleep on Dermstore’s value sets! So many good bundles and a lot include travel sizes if you have trips coming up on your calendar.
