La Ligne Mini Marin Sweater London Bar

Happy Friday from London! It has been so wonderful to be back in one of my favorite cities. I’ve caught up with friends and added a few great new recommendations to our Rêverie in London directory and tonight I am attending a wedding out in Chiswick!

I’m off on vacation starting Sunday! I’ll be in Italy and can’t wait to tackle the loads of books I downloaded on my Kindle (see some of my favorite summer reads here) and eat loads of pasta and drink plenty of spritzes.

I’ll be quieter around these parts but I do have a few blog posts scheduled and The Weekly Edit will run while I’m out, too! Those of you on the newsletter list will have a few posts landing in your inbox, too. (Thank goodness for scheduling tools!!) I won’t be replying to emails, DMs or comments until I am back online – thanks for your understanding! I worked like a crazy person to make this vacation happen (all of last weekend I never left my computer!) so I can’t wait to unplug and enjoy it.

I hope you enjoy this week’s edit and have a wonderful weekend!

The Weekly Edit 8.23

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:

  • Arrived to London! I’m so happy to be back and cannot wait to celebrate my friend Whitney and her new husband Andrew today!
  • Before I left New York, I saw Cabaret on Broadway. It was such a cool re-imagining (particularly with the theatre experience itself) albeit very campy and sensual. Definitely not my favorite show I’ve ever seen, but I did love seeing Eddie Redmayne on stage.
  • Lots of gems have been added to the Under $100 Shop!
  • I was excited to once again work with Faherty! If you are looking for some good, quality staples check this brand out. My code is live for a few more days so you can use 20MEGHAN to grab 20% off your purchase. See how I styled my newest pieces here.
  • Before I left NYC I made this Greek Grain Salad so I could eat it all week before I left instead of ordering loads of takeout. It’s super great for meal prep. I added a can of chickpeas for extra protein and some spinach I had on hand as well.
  • I was excited to work with Saatva for the first time because you guys – the way I *love* my mattress. Three years later and I truly can’t recommend this mattress enough. They are running a promo when you purchase through my LTK link, too!

NOTEWORTHY SALES:

SHOP AND LOOK LOVINGLY:

  • HERE is everything I packed for my London + Italy trip.
  • Gucci vibes for under $100 in this little mini bag!
  • If you need a work pant refresh, Banana Republic has so many good styles right now! I am also loving this silk blouse from them (would look so good topped with a Dorsey necklace!), this dress (would be perfect for a Fall wedding), this sweater dress and this one, too and this cool satin blazer.
  • Lake Tahoe’s dry air wrecked havoc on my skin and it was so, so scaly. I turned to my Osea Hyaluronic Body Serum and Undaria Collagen Body Lotion layered one over the other and my skin soaked them up and was so happy, so smooth and so hydrated after. Highly recommend this duo if you suffer from dry skin.
  • Loving this well-priced jewelry brand. Their pieces read Khaite but at a much more attainable price point for jewelry.
  • The new Demellier Fall collection!!! Oh it is *so good*. The new Paris crossbody is so good. And I plan to buy the Paris top handle in black but the new brown suede is so gorgeous, too! (Someone who came to my recent event said she bought it in black after seeing it in a post of mine and she loves it which finally sold me on it!)
  • And another person who attended the event was wearing these darling two-tone Margaux flats and they looked so good in person!
  • This high-end looking sweater blazer would be perfect to keep at the office. I love that it looks designer but is under $50.
  • Before my trip I remembered I needed new luggage tags so headed to my favorite luggage brand and was so pleased to see they offer gold personalization on their luggage tags. Given my luggage set is black, having luggage tags I can spot easily as mine makes my life a lot easier at baggage claim.
  • Speaking of travel, I’ve been using my magnetic power bank every day here in London. I never travel without it so I don’t have to stress about my phone battery! Highly recommend you invest in one. While you’re shopping for any upcoming trips, the Megababe Thigh Rescue travel size is a god send.
  • Hotel Lobby Candle has officially launched Hotel Lobby Home and you can now shop it! I got the hand wash and the diffuser and they are *excellent* They both smell amazing, come in gorgeous refillable bottles and feel oh-so-luxurious.
  • I had the wrong link for these great Veronica Beard jeans in my recent newsletter this week – apologies! I own in 28. Brought them to wear in London – they are so great.
