What to Pack for Paris in the Fall

Later this week I will head back to my favorite city in the world. As I always enjoy sharing my packing lists with you all so today I’m sharing what’s packed in my suitcases for this late October and early November trip.

What I’m Packing for Paris in the Fall

This trip I have a lot planned as I continue to expand my En Route to Rêverie Rêverie in Paris recommondations. I’m excited to be testing out loads of new spots for future and returning clients!

I bring a lot of the same staples with me every trip to Paris regardless of the season so pieces will look familiar from other Paris Packing Lists I’ve shared in the past.

And if you are curious on how to put together outfits featuring the pieces seen here – check out my What to Wear in Paris in the Fall post.

1. J.Crew Icon Trench Coat

A classic trench coat is great for Fall weather in Paris and it helps with the inevitable rain. I either bring this one or the Sezane Scott Trench.

2. Loeffler Randall Isla Boots

The Loeffler Randall Isla Booties are one of my most worn pairs of shoes. I’m all about prioritizing comfortable shoes, and these allow for loads of walking while also looking stylish. I pair them with slightly cropped jeans and with dresses or skirts.

3. Bodysuit

A bodysuit makes for an easily packable layer that sits so well under Fall dresses, blazers and cardigans.  I sized up to a Large.

4. Ankle Crop Jeans

Always in my suitcase to bring to Paris is a versatile pair of jeans. The Agolde Rileys are favorites for their fit and versatility. I wear them with sneakers, with flats, with slingbacks and select pairs of boots.

5. M.M.LaFleur Curie Pants

No Fall trip to Paris is complete without a pair of little black pants. You can wear them with a mule, with a sneaker, with a pump or a flat – this pair in particular is so, so versatile making them perfect for travel. See them on here. I have the size 6 short.

For a less expensive and similar style, I love the Talbots ponte pants.

6. Inez Paz Boots

Another favorite pair of Fall booties. I’ve walked 20K steps in this pair. They are also the perfect neutral that pairs well with nearly everything I usually pack for Paris.

You can use code WHIMSY15 for 15% off your purchase of Inez shoes.

7. Mini Skirt

An easy day to night look for me is a mini skirt. I’m excited to style this one with an oversized button down.

8. Little Black Bag

I always have a little black bag with me to carry throughout the day and for every evening out.

9. Loafers

A timeless staple perfect for clocking a lot of miles walking around the streets of Paris. If my color palette includes camel I often bring this pair.

10. Common Projects Achilles Sneakers

After four years of non-stop wear, it was finally time for a new pair of my all-time favorite sneakers. They were largely sold out but I finally hunted them down at Saks in my size (sized down to size 36). For a more affordable style, I recommend the Veja Esplar Sneakers.

11. Classic Blazer

A Paris staple for me. I own this timeless one in three colors with the Navy being my newest acquisition. I wear it in a size 6.

12. Silk Scarf

I always bring a scarf when I go to Paris as it can add a beautiful accessory moment to more simple, tailored outfits. Tie them on your bags, around your wrist or around your neck throughout your trip.

13. Heeled Slingbacks

Never without this pair of timeless Chanel heeled slingbacks. Great for clocking miles with evening looks.

14. Leather Jacket

Fall in Paris is quintessential leather jacket weather. On cooler days I’ll layer mine under my trench coat.

15. Crewneck T-Shirt

Ideal as a base layer for Fall under blazers, jackets and cardigans I always bring crewneck t-shirts in a couple of colors. The MM.LaFleur Leslie tee is my favorite – I own it in multiple colors and always bring the ivory and black on trips to Paris.

16. Isabel Marant Wrap Belt

This belt is great over dresses year round. I own it in two colors.

17. Triomphe Belt

A simple yet striking belt I wear with jeans and trousers.

18. Tweed Jacket

A tweed cropped jacket is so versatile. It’s the perfect layer underneath a trench or a wool coat for Fall weather and it pairs well with jeans and a t-shirt and a good shoe or over a silk midi skirt or silk slip dress. I am also bringing a matching skirt

19. Striped Tee

No trip to Paris is complete without a striped tee. I reach for long sleeve ones when I go in the Fall. I own this one in a M.

20. Button Down

A timeless wardrobe staple for any French wardrobe, I always bring my favorite button down. I own this one in size 8.

21. Cashmere Layering Tee

The perfect early Fall layering piece. Cozy and warm yet not overly heavy. I love layering this under my blazers and little jackets.

Meghan, have a wonderful trip to Paris! I love the feel of Eberjey pajamas, but get so annoyed that they are hand wash and line dry only – and with the humidity on the East Coast for the past several months, nothing dries in less than five days! And then it starts to smell. Does that ever annoy you?

Truthfully I don’t follow those rules so they aren’t as pretty as they used to be but I understand what you’re saying! I can’t wait for this crazy humidity to be behind us!
