Happy Friday! I am closing out my Italian holiday and heading back to New York soon after a dizzying three week, four country European tour that involved boats, trains, planes, ferries and even funiculars. The part of my trip that was meant to be actual vacation went awry in Italy a bit but I’ll share more about that in an upcoming newsletter next week.
I have lots to look forward to when I get home – family visiting and my niece’s first birthday, friends and more family in town later in the month, my goddaughter’s first trip to NYC! And all that aside, I am desperately looking forward to returning to my morning routine, my hot yoga and hot pilates classes and cooking in my own kitchen.
I hope you enjoy this week’s edit and have a wonderful weekend!

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:
- Enjoyed some much needed R&R in Italy. For the most part I caught up on sleep, read a lot of books and did my best to be unplugged as much as possible but a variety of factors prevented from me finding the calm I was hoping for. There’s always next year!?
READ + BOOKMARK:
- How to romanticize your September.
- Unhinged things I did to begin working in the travel business.
- Where to eat, drink and travel this year.
- Why the best ocean swimming happens in sea pools. (I’ll never forget those I saw in Australia – magical!)
- Books to put on your radar this Fall.
- Dyson is launching an electric toothbrush (!! Gotta say – it sounds very cool.)
- A bread and butter off is going down in London. (No, but like how can I be a judge?!)
- If you love a period drama, here’s your guide to vacationing in England.
- What savvy travelers always pack.
- The World’s 50 Best Hotels 2026: the 51-100 list revealed. (I have stayed at 3 on this list via En Route to Rêverie and will stay at a fourth come this autumn).
NOTEWORTHY FINDS:
- J.Crew’s fall collection just dropped! My favorites from the new arrivals include this fresh take on the barn jacket, these flats (saw a lot of designer stores offering similar styles while I was shopping in Milan!), this darling bag, this lady jacket + this blazer (recommend sizing up in both at least one size if you want to wear buttoned!), these pull-on trousers and this oversized cashmere crewneck.
- There’s some good newness in The Shop in the French Inspired Capsule, Under $200 and Seasonal Favorites if you’re up for browsing the latest curations.
- Steve Madden just restocked one of my most popular finds from last Fall – these boots. At $150 they are a great price point and look akin to a Khaite style boot. I own both colors and can confirm they are comfy!
- I haven’t worked out in three weeks but Rhone’s latest arrivals may just inspire me to get back into it. This sports bra + matching leggings, this sweatshirt, this jacket and this tee are all pieces I am eyeing.
- La Bonne Brosse has launched body brushes!! They sound amazing.
- H&M brought back this great jacket I got last year in some great new colors. And it’s under $50!
- These look like my Toteme sneakers but at half the price.
- The new taupe color of my favorite La Ligne sweater!! It’s so good! See the sweater on in my (recently updated) La Ligne Sweaters Review. The Taupe color of the Colby pants are also dreamy looking (I wear a M in those). Use code MEGHAND10 for 10% off.
- Spotted some good newness at Zara – this midi skirt, this jacket, these pants, this trench, this jacket and this faux leather jacket.
- And a very dreamy looking suede jacket from Bash.
- This bag and this bag from Tory Burch are very good for Fall.
- These heels and this windbreaker are both giving Saint Laurent vibes at a much more palatable price point.
- Fall Varley always gets me excited because the clothes and the styling are always so good. I’m into this knit, the new colors of this favorite pullover of mine, these sneakers and this coat.
