The Weekly Edit

July 26, 2024

Happy Friday from Upstate NY and Happy Paris 2024 Olympics commencement! I am so excited to watch the Opening Ceremonies today and can’t wait to see Paris on the world scene for the next couple of weeks as we marvel at the amazing endeavors of all these athletes. Who else is excited!? I spent part of last night watching the La Grande Seine docuseries on Peacock all about the prep for the Opening Ceremony and it was incredible to see all of the effort, planning and prep that’s gone into this. Highly recommend watching it before this evening if you can!

I hope you enjoy this week’s edit and have a wonderful weekend!

The Weekly Edit 7.26

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:

  • Celebrated five years of En Route to Rêverie!! *Cue all the emotions* This business has brought so many amazing people into my life and truly changed the trajectory of my career. Five years in and I am still in awe. I made a little tribute here
  • Made one of my very favorite recipes: Greek Meatballs with Lemon Butter Orzo. I use lamb instead though which adds a lot more flavor in my opinion!
  • Worked on finishing out a rough agenda for my Italian vacation in a few weeks. I’ve been feeling burnt out lately so I am so, so glad I have this time on my calendar to look forward to.
  • Started and finished The Seven Year Slip after seeing so many people rave about it on BookTok. I loved it! (Despite the fact that I don’t usually love books where you really have to suspend your concept of reality lol). Related: 21 Books Perfect for Summer.

SHOP AND LOOK LOVINGLY:

  • Meghan’s Closet in The Shop is fully updated! I removed all out of stock items and refreshed everything. Everything in my closet that’s still available to shop can be found here, broken down by category.
  • I’m thrilled to be working with Frank & Eileen for the first time over on Instagram today! You can use code SUMMER50 at checkout this weekend to get $50 off full price items (one time use only; not combinable and some exclusions do apply). They rarely ever discount so a good opportunity to try the brand if you’ve been keen to or to grab a piece you’ve been eyeing! It is good only through Sunday!
  • Violet Grey did a French Pharmacy edit on their site and I love the curation! Spotted my favorite hand cream, the only liquid eyeliner I have mastered, my favorite mascara primer, this moisturizer I love (as do French makeup artists!), this refreshing facial mist and my go-to face base makeup for hot summer days. (And to be clear – some of these brands in the edit are *not* sold in French Pharmacies such as Chanel Beauty!) If you want a guide of what you can expect to buy at the pharmacy, don’t miss my What to Buy at CityPharma in Paris post.
  • This striped sweater is darling.
  • Relatedly, one of my all time favorite striped sweaters you’ve seen me wear loads but it sold out instantly back when I bought it in 2021 is finally restocked! I have the size L. It is the perfect travel sweater – not overly bulky, the perfect length to pair with skirts, pants, jeans or over a dress and great draped over your shoulders, too.
  • Ever since getting these washable silk pajamas they’ve become my favorite summer set. They are lightweight yet cozy still, have a chic oversized silhouette and pack up to barely anything making them great for travel. I have size M and the brand gave me a code for 15% off your orders! Use MEGHANDONO at checkout. (Truth be told I’m always a little weary of “washable silk” but I’ve worn these so much already and washed them at least four times and have been really happy with the wear!)
  • COS is a favorite high street label of mine from the UK and they have so many cute dresses right now! This dress, this dress, this dress, this dress, this dress and this dress were favorites I spotted.
  • Osea has now released a fragrance-free version of their best-selling (and a personal favorite) Undaria Body Oil if you’re someone who’s sensitive to fragrance and always wanted to try it! You can use code WITWHIMSY10 for 10% off.
  • Last weekend I used my favorite paint touchup pens to go around my apartment and touch up any marks or marks that needed it throughout my apartment. These make it SO easy.
  • I’ve been using my facial massager non-stop to help my ongoing TMJ issues. It hurts so good.
  • Just added this new colorway of my favorite Veja sneakers to my Fall wish list. (I have the pair with the navy accent!) Also eyeing these all white-cream Sambas! They have so many good colors they’ve recently introduced!
  • Sachin and Babi at Anthropologie has so many cute dresses right now! This one has my name all over it, right? And this one would be so fun for a vacation!
  • Just got this cutie Reformation dress for my trip to Europe next week. I got the 8 but likely could have done the 6, too. I also finally got this one back from the tailor (I had to have the straps shortened). Cannot wait to wear it with a belt and a basket bag. I sized up to an 8. Related: My Favorite Summer Dresses.
  • Spotted one of my Ba&sh Paris Jackets on sale! I have the size M.
  • I know it is really hard to think about leather right now but my favorite faux leather pants FINALLY went on sale! These were a favorite purchase of mine in 2023 – see them styled in my  Fall Date Night Outfit Ideas post and I can’t say enough good things. They are like butter! I own the size 8.
  • I am loving the new Lululemon pieces I got recently especially this bra for my workouts and this bra that feels as light as air and is so, so comfy.
