One of the things I love most about the return of Fall dressing is the fun you can have when putting together outfits with texture! Fall welcomes the return of faux leather, beautiful tweeds and chunky knits and I live for being able to weave these into my looks no matter the occasion.
Fall Date Night Outfit Ideas
If you’re looking for some inspiration this Fall for what to wear on date nights, this post has you covered. I turned to Saks to pull some inspiration for the looks I am loving for date nights this season and had such fun pulling together this look and the other outfits I curated.
Saks carries so many of my favorite brands like La Ligne, Veronica Beard, Reformation, Doen, Saint Laurent; among others and whenever I am looking for special pieces or shopping for trips or investment items, it is one of the first places I shop.

This Fall date night look is all about these Alice + Olivia Pleated Faux Leather Pants. May I just say, I think they are one of the softest, most luxurious things I have ever put on my body. They are beautifully tailored with such an elegant fit to them and the quality is just…wow.
I love that they have belt loops should you want to add a belt. The straight leg silhouette makes them timeless and gives you plenty of options to pair them with other shoe choices in the coming months.
A silk tank is almost always one of the first things I reach for when going for my date night outfit formula and this one by Alice + Olivia has the *perfect* draped neck. The quality of the silk is also lovely – it has a nice weight to it meaning it wears well and doesn’t cling in any unfortunate manners. So often I am disappointed by silk tanks and have to send them back because they are so flimsy and pull or don’t tuck nicely. This one gets an A+ from me. I sized up to a size Large in this camisole.
If you’re not a fan of faux leather, you could easily sub in a great pair of jeans with this look. The Agolde Riley Jeans have been favorites for a couple years now and I recently bought the new wash and mid-rise style they have this season as seen on here. This style runs a bit small so I take my usual size. For date nights in the Fall I am always a fan of pairing heels with jeans with slight distressing.
I topped the look off with this timeless Theory jacket that has a beautiful shape to it and really elegant mirrored buttons. You can wear it over your shoulders or on, unbuttoned and this is a good investment piece that works for a myriad of occasions outside of date nights. (It also comes in a charming check print!)
And can we talk about how fun this bag is? Because I kept my entire outfit one color story I knew I wanted to have fun with the bag and this crystal mesh baguette bag by Loeffler Randall is just the perfect amount of sparkle without being too extra. I didn’t have anything like it in my closet and it has officially claimed the title of most fun bag in my collection!
Below, I had a lot of fun curating a variety of other date night looks to inspire you as you get ready to head out this month and all season long. You can save these down to your phone when you need a bit of inspiration or Pin them for later. And don’t miss shopping my entire Fall Date Night Edit at Saks. I had the best time picking out pieces I think are worth getting dressed up in!
