In the last five years as I sought to makeover my beauty routine to be healthier and less toxic where possible, Credo Beauty has become my go-to when it comes to buying skincare and makeup.
Since its inception, Credo has been at the forefront of changing the beauty retail game to become cleaner, more sustainable and more transparent. They hold the brands they carry to some of the strictest sourcing and development standards and I absolutely love the assortment of clean beauty brands that they carry.
I have fully refreshed this post and today I am breaking down what I think are the best products they carry across Makeup, Skincare, Hair, Bath & Body and Fragrance of those that I have tried. The curation has been fully updated with all my best discoveries of late.
I’m also thrilled to share that I now have a code for you guys to use for 10% off every purchase (!!!) for the next couple of weeks. Grab it at the end of the post and do let me know what you end up picking up!
Credo was started in 2014 by Annie Jackson and Shashi Batra. They wanted to create a luxury retailer that would be focused entirely on providing customers with the cleanest, most effective independent and luxury brands around. Credo has a select few stores in the U.S. but you can also shop their variety online as well.
When Credo first publicly launched in 2015 they released a robust “Dirty List” which contained over 2,700 specific ingredients and types of ingredients that are used in mainstream beauty products, but which Credo prohibits due to safety and/or sustainability reasons. Shockingly, to this day, U.S. law allows carcinogens in baby shampoo, “fragrance” to be undisclosed, PFAS to contaminate the supply chains, and it is totally mum on sustainability and labor practices.
Then in 2018, the brand launched the Credo Clean Standard™ which they consider a roadmap to “clean” for the 130+ brands they carry. It’s made up of the following priorities which makes me feel confident in shopping with Credo Beauty: Safety (is the ingredient list safe?), Sourcing (are the ingredients sourced from nature), Sustainability (packaging guidelines, sustainable ingredients), Ethics (are ingredients linked to unfair labor conditions or poor wages?) and Transparency (what are the brand’s process and suppliers all about).
The Best Credo Beauty Products
Over the years – through both purchases of my own and gracious gifting from Credo – I have had the luxury of trying lots of products that they carry.
Makeup Picks:
Westman Atelier
This brand is $$$ but it is SO GOOD. The formulas are truly gorgeous and apply and wear so beautifully. I have a full review of nearly every product: Westman Atelier Review – Is It Worth It?
If I had to just pick a few products though? The blush (Chouette and Petal are the prettiest wash of color), the bronzer, the contour stick, the Super Loaded Drops and the lip balms are all holy grail for me.
And the Skin Activator is absolute magic. It makes skin look so good and your makeup goes on so much better! I don’t know what wizardry they put in there but it is divine.
Saint Jane Lip Oil
This is everything I want in a lip oil. Hydrating but not sticky, beautiful color pay off and highly wearable. I have shade Calm. This may just be one of my favorite discoveries of the year tbh.
RMS Beauty
This RMS blush in Hanky Panky is absolutely gorgeous. I love pairing it over the aforementioned Westman cream blush.
And if looking for a pretty powder highlighter – I recommend this RMS Hydra Dew Luminizer. I have shade Prosecco Fizz.
Ilia Beauty
This was the first clean makeup brand I really fell in love with. The brand has made a lot of changes in years past however so if I had to choose my favorites of the current assortment I’d say their Complexion Stick and the Fullest Mascara would be the only two really in my rotation anymore.
Tower28 Beauty
Their Tinted SPF is SO good. It layers well under makeup but is also great on its own.
I like the Tower28 Lip + Cheek Pigment (great to have thrown in your bag! Shade Magic Hour), their juicy lip balm (Shade Mix) is a current favorite and almost always in my purse and the Lip Jellys (shades Oat and Pistachio are so gorgeous). Their mascara is really good, too.

Kosas
This Kosas concealer and foundation are really, really great (believe the hype) and I also love their mascara which gives my lashes major volume! My favorite Kosas lip oil, this cushiony, glossy lipstick, the Air Brow Gel, the Brow Pop Pencil (I always, always repurchase these brow products! I wear shade Soft Brown), the Deo and the SPF are also not to be missed.

GenSee Brown Mascara
I always use brown mascara on my lower lashes and this clean one from GenSee is my go-to.
Soshe Lip Liner
If you’ve been wanting a lip liner from a clean brand, I definitely recommend this new one from Soshe.
LYS Beauty
What a gem of a brand! The price point for the quality is excellent. I was sort of blown away by how good the foundation and the concealer are in particular – and the price!! You can’t beat it. I wear Shade LP4 in both. The cream blush is also *so* good!

Rituel de Fille
Credo is the reason I discovered the gorgeous brand Rituel de Fille. I bought this blush (shade Lovesick) and this lip sheer (shade Datura) from the site earlier this year and love both – they remain in heavy rotation for me.
I also have and love this luminizer which offers mega wattage (I always get compliments when I wear it and I think it is so under-hyped!)
Pai Impossible Glow
Mix a little of this Pai Impossible Glow into your foundation – you’ll love the effect!
Exa Beauty
Exa is Credo’s in-house private label brand and I like the Mascara, the Color Corrector and the Lip Liner.
Skincare Picks:
Osea Ocean Cleanser
The Osea Ocean Cleanser is one of my very favorite cleansers. Super gentle and leaves skin amazingly soft. I’ve gone through more than three bottles of this stuff!
Osea Hyaluronic Sea Serum
This is a great HA serum for when your skin needs a drink. I’ve gone through multiple bottles.
Osea Cleansing Milk
I love how gentle this cleansing milk is for cleansing skin first thing in the morning. I don’t recommend it for taking makeup off though! Definitely best used as an A.M. Cleanser.
Osea Seaglow Resurfacing Scrub
An effective yet gentle scrub I like to keep in the shower to use on my face when skin is feeling lackluster. It washes away debris and excess oils while resurfacing to reveal soft, smooth, glowing skin.

Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask
The Tata Harper Resurfacing Mask is cult status for good reasons. It gives major glow in just one use.
Goop Instant Facial
For similar results, I also love the Goop Instant Facial which revives skin in just 2 minutes! This is pricey but a little goes a long way.
One Love Organics Oil Cleanser
Melt away makeup with this luxurious cleansing oil I’ve used for years and years. I now use the Farmacy Cleansing Balm almost exclusively but if I double cleanse the two work well together.
One Love Organics Vitamin C Serum
A favorite of mine for many years I have gone through so many bottles of this affordable yet effective Vitamin C serum.
Pai Carbon Star Oil
This clarifying facial oil is also great for breakouts. It goes to work overnight with black cumin seed and vegetable charcoal to get your skin back to glowing. I love that it reduces the appearance of imperfections so you’ll wake up with better looking skin..
Indie Lee CoQ10 Toner
A great toner that lifts every trace of dirt and makeup off skin while leaving it feeling glowy and not dehydrated at all. I travel with a mini version of this usually.
Indie Lee Resurfacing Mask
A quick mask to use in a pinch when skin is feeling lackluster.
Ursa Major Flash Mask
In just three minutes this mask enhances the appearance of skin’s tone, elasticity, luminosity and firmness – all without the irritation associated with harsh scrubs or chemical peels.
Ursa Major Golden Hour Cream
I love this cream in winter because it works fast and absorbs into skin quickly. It leaves a nice glow to the skin making it great to apply before doing your makeup.
Herbivore Botanicals Cloud Jelly Serum
I reach for this Herbivore Cloud Jelly Serum whenever my skin is feeling lackluster.
Kinship Self Reflect Broad Spectrum Sunscreen
The Kinship Self Reflect Sunscreen is great for a glowy SPF base before you put on makeup. This is one of Credo’s top sellers always they told me!
Maya Chia
Ever since testing some of the line, I’ve been loving what I’ve tried from the Maya Chia line. Notably this great Vitamin C serum and this gorgeous pressed serum.
Hair, Bath, Body & Fragrance Picks:
Ursa Major Hoppin’ Fresh Deodorant
This Ursa Major deodorant is one of the best natural deodorants ones I’ve tried.
Corpus Deodorant
This Corpus deodorant is one of the best non-toxic ones I’ve tried as well. And this Kosas one is another favorite – especially for workouts!
I keep all four of these (see below for the fourth!) in my rotation to ensure my body doesn’t climatize to one.
Nécessaire
The amount of Necessaire’s Body Wash bottles I’ve gone through knows no limit it seems. Their Gel Deo is also a regular restock for me.
Osea Undaria Algae Oil
This is my favorite body oil. It’s gorgeous to apply, doesn’t get slick or sticky and soaks in right away. Especially great during winter! Pro tip: Put a few pumps into your bath, too!
Osea Salts of the Earth Body Scrub
This bestselling body scrub is so damn luxurious. It leaves your skin feeling so very soft and super hydrated. I’ve gone through two tubs and this is one of my go-to Under $50 gift ideas, too.
Osea Undaria Body Cleansing Polish
This features the same heavenly smell as the Osea Undaria Algae Oil and works to make skin so soft and smooth while cleansing. It goes to work to resurface skin with physical and AHA exfoliants while gently cleansing. It’s heaven and I’ve gone through several tubs. This and their body scrub mentioned above are always in my shower.
Osea Undaria Collagen Body Lotion
I was so happy they finally released this in a pump format! The same divine smell as the scrub and polish I adore and goes on skin like a dream to hydrate. They also have a fragrance free version now if you’re sensitive to smells or added fragrance.
Ursa Major Stellar Shave Cream
This is my go-to shave cream and has been for years.
Goop G.Tox Dry Brush
If you don’t yet have a dry brush now is the time! Such a good ritual for your body as it helps drain your lymph system and flushes excess water.
Reverie Milk Anti-Frizz Leave-In Nourishing Treatment
This nourishing hair milk is great for when my hair needs some TLC. I mix a bit with a hair oil and apply to my hair when damp before I blow dry it.
LolaVie Glossing Detangler
This Glossing Detangler from Jen Aniston’s line LolaVie is good before blow drying.
Kinfield Golden Hour DEET-Free Repellent
Kinfield went and made what’s often an annoying product quite lovely tbh.
This DEET-free repellent repels mosquitos with a unique strain of Indonesian citronella. But the best part? It smells great. Think a little bit citrus, a little bit vanilla.
Follain
Follain is a Credo private label brand aimed at making clean beauty accessible. I think the bodycare products are the standout vs. those formulated for the face.
I love the body scrub, the candles and the hand wash in particular.
Henry Rose
The Henry Rose fragrances are really beautiful and I think well priced for clean fragrances. My personal favorite? Windows Down. It combines a bright grapefruit and bergamot with honeyed neroli and soft earl grey tea for a light and floral finish. It is absolutely lovely.
Maya Chia The Mane Event
This lightweight bonding treatment helps the health of my hair so much.
It helps reduce breakage significantly and deeply repair, nurture and protect the hair?s bonds while enhancing the volume of the individual hair shaft. Win/win/win.
