Paris Sunset

This was a marathon week. Between election anxiety and disappointment, finishing up 16 days in France and arriving home to a mountain of shoots and campaign deadlines for holiday projects, I feel wiped. But there’s no rest for the weary as I have a full social calendar for the weekend! My assistant from Paris is in town, my friend Kate is in town, I’m celebrating Friendsgiving and Carly’s birthday as well.

I hope you enjoy this week’s edit and have a wonderful weekend!

The Weekly Edit 11.8

WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:

  • Curated October’s bestsellers! Always such fun for me to see what were the greatest hits of the month with you guys.
  • When I first arrived to France two weeks ago I worked on *such* a fun shopping collaboration! It is now live!
  • I added a bunch of recent outfits to my LTK page if you’re keen to shop some of them!
  • Made one of my favorite comfort meals. Related: My Go-To Recipes.
  • I had my last (for now!) French lesson! I took 12 private lessons over the course of the last five months and it has been so challenging and so rewarding. I’m really proud of myself for finally taking the plunge and committing to this.

SHOP AND LOOK LOVINGLY:

  • I tested out a bunch of my Sephora sale purchases while doing my makeup last night and had some real winners I am excited about! If you want to nab them while still on sale through Sunday – this gorgeous dewy, creamy blush (shade Glassy Hibiscus – you can use on lips, too!), this beautiful lip oil (shade Mahogany is so good for autumn!), this foundation stick (Shade 2 Fair was a perfect shade match!) and this mascara that kind of wowed me with its lifting and curling effect.
  • I saw pinstripe blazers all over Paris on girls so I came home and ordered this beautiful one from Sezane in a size 8 as I wanted it to be a bit oversized. I also saw so many French girls carrying the brand’s Milo bag everywhere I went! I own the black in my bag collection.
  • In other jacket news, how cute is this one from Tuckernuck? I’d pair it with my leather pants and a cute heel for a fun holiday look.
  • Spotted: my favorite sexy evening perfume 15% off right now (this brand never goes on sale!?)
  • The other day a reader asked me what all I do to prep for my trips. I always schedule in my necessary appointments: Brows; hair; nails. I also do an at home gloss for my hair before departing if I haven’t had my hair colored recently. I use my NuFace religiously every night. I can’t stress enough what a difference this makes in my face shape in photos when I am committed to using it. I also will use a firming skincare routine like this one from Caudalie. I begin to reincorporate Latisse back into my nighty regimen as well so my lashes are extra long in photos/videos. And I do at least three Crest Whitestrips treatments (more if I can!) I always notice such a difference on-camera when I’ve done a tune up using these. I use them sporadically throughout the year but always before traveling or big events. I also tidy my home, change my linens and try and have everything organized for my return as much as possible.
  • A roundup of navy blue picks for fall.
  • Theory pieces have been MVPs in my wardrobe for a long time. Beautifully made, classic pieces you’ll most definitely get compliments on. This sweater tee is the latest investment piece I can’t stop wearing – the perfect layer under blazers. Size L.
  • I haven’t stopped wearing this beautiful bracelet since I got it. It’s held up well without every taking it off in hot tubs, showers and while sleeping.

NOTEWORTHY HOLIDAY FINDS:

  • LaLigne is running a rare promo offering free (!!) monogramming on their styles which makes for such a good gift! Use code VIPMONOGRAM for a very limited time and order early as they take about 2 weeks to deliver. All my favorite styles of their knits can be found here and I personally think the Marin and Lean Lines are perfect with a sleeve monogram.
  • Pura gave me a 30% off code to shop their biggest sale of the year early! I adore these smart home diffusers and the holiday collection of scents is so good! The Nest Holiday, Thymes Fraiser Fir and Otherland Fraiser Fir scents being among my personal favorites I’ve been running all week long. The sets they offer would make for great gifts, too. Use code MEGHAN30 at checkout. *Some exclusions do apply.
  • I just ordered this fun sequin skirt from J.Crew for some festive outings this season!
  • Lots of cute new holiday outfits are now in The Holiday Shop!
  • This week I pulled out my garlands to hang in my home. They are from the McGee Studio x Target collection a few years ago and I spotted a lot of good items in this year’s offering.
  • Hello, cutest holiday candles ever.
