I started this week entirely, totally overwhelmed. I had unplugged last week with family in Lake Tahoe more than I anticipated (worth it!!) which led to me returning to a sky-high to-do list that was already running long in anticipation of my heading overseas next week. It didn’t help that I also majorly over-scheduled myself this week. All for fun things but it was a lot and left my ambivert battery completely and totally drained.
It’s on weeks like this that I remind myself to take a step back, take a deep breath and approach the insanity with gratitude. I feel so lucky I have so much work on my plate between w&w and En Route to Rêverie and I need to get in a great mindset as we fully dive into busy season in these parts.
I hope you enjoy this week’s edit (it’s a hefty one!) and have a wonderful weekend!
The Weekly Edit 8.23
WHAT I DID THIS WEEK:
- I hosted the most fun Fall Shopping & Ice Cream social event with M.M.LaFleur! Nearly 50 women, so many fall purchases and just the lovliest conversation. Here is what I wore to the event and I entered a new shapewear era when I found this in my drawer and decided it was the perfect layering piece under my look and I was so happy with it all night! I sized up to a L/XL. It led me to find this “shaper” tank in my drawer, too and I ended up wearing it at a shoot later in the week and it was great under sweaters.
- Fall has officially kicked in in these parts with the arrival of my big What to Wear in Paris in the Fall guide (which works for everywhere in Fall tbh) and the unveiling of the Seasonal Favorites in The Shop being turned over to the forthcoming season.
- I updated my Shopbop Hearts of everything I’m loving on their site currently. The fall new arrivals are looking G-O-O-D! I just placed an order so I’ll report back what I loved from it.
- Worked on my Fall Wish List! It’ll publish here next week but if you want the newsletter exclusive of What I’ve Bought for Fall Already – get on my newsletter list now!
- I saw Hell’s Kitchen on Broadway and was kinda disappointed. The cast was amazing but there was a real lack of plot and every, single song could have been cut in half. Beforehand we went to the new Parcelle Wine Bar in Greenwich Village though and it was such a cute spot! A good one to add to your list for those of you in NYC.

SHOP AND LOOK LOVINGLY:
- I love the look of this linen midi dress from Abercrombie. I size up in this brand. I also spotted one of my favorite purchases from last Fall restocked – this sweater tee. It sold out so quickly last year so I am glad they brought it back! I own the L.
- This new camel color of a favorite striped sweater I own is so good. I own the L. If you’re new to the brand, you can buy it on the La Ligne site with code MEGHAND10 for 10% off!
- Speaking of 10% off, friendly reminder my Credo Beauty code is still live. Grab the code + my favorite products in my big The Best Credo Beauty Products.
- Hotel Lobby Candle has officially launched Hotel Lobby Home! I am so pumped for this and such a fan of everything founder Lindsay Silberman is building.
- Hello gorgeous new bags for Fall from J.Crew! I was thrilled they brought back my delicious chocolate brown bucket bag and this shoulder bag I styled last year here.
- And their September collection just dropped and is full of goodness! I am loving in particular these boots, this sweater tee, this cardigan I styled here last year (recommend sizing up!), these satin pants (added to my cart immediately), this lady jacket (the ivory is so gorgeous), this dress and this jacket.
- I adore this dress from Tuckernuck for those of you with weddings to attend this Fall-Winter! Also from their new arrivals I am eyeing this jacket, these sunglasses, these pants and this jacket.
- If you’ve been eyeing my wear-it-all-the-time Bash Paris Meredith Jacket but would like a more affordable option – you’re in luck! The J.Crew Factory team just sent me this little jacket and the quality is great and the style very similar. I recommend sizing up – I took it in a size L. Shop more of my favorite affordable finds HERE.
- When I tell you I *ran* to pre-order this gorgeous bag in brown suede. The Row Margaux bag was never for me – I liked it but didn’t love it – but this bag? It looks stunning, is under $800 and definitely gives The Row / Khaite quiet luxury vibes that I adore.
- One of the best additions to my morning habits this year has been reading a page of The Pivot Year every morning. I can’t recommend this ritual enough!
- Speaking of books, I always get asked about how I learned my personal style. I follow this stylist on TikTok and think she’s so, so good so I am adding her book to my TBR pile.
- A great Bottega lookalike bag for Fall.
- Spotted a lot of good look-for-less of items in my own closet at H&M so I added the ones I liked to the Under $100 shop!
- The newer brand Aureum has been on my radar ever since I got one of their beautiful belts and now I am eyeing a few pieces from their exclusive Shopbop capsule. Should you prefer to shop their whole collection and score a discount, you can use code MEGHAN20 on their site.
