Summer weather has fully arrived here in New York and as I transitioned my closet over a few weeks ago I realized how many things I can’t wait to pull out this summer as social plans get more into full swing.
For the last several years, I have continued to update popular posts including Things in My Closet I’ll Be Wearing this Spring and Things in My Closet I Can’t Wait to Wear This Fall and today I am updating my Things I’ll be Wearing this Summer. It’s been fully refreshed with some of my latest looks, last year’s favorites and a few items I have picked up for the season ahead, too.
And, as always, don’t miss shopping My Closet – I try to keep it as up to date as possible and is broken down by category with sizing guidance as well.
Things I’ll Be Wearing This Summer
I have done my best to link everything below so if you don’t see a link for an item it means it is no longer available.
And, as most of you know by now, my wardrobe is a mix of investment pieces and affordable finds. A lot of the pieces below you’ve likely seen before because I wear the same pieces season after season, year after year. It’s why I invest in pieces that I won’t tire of, will hold up with lots of wear and be timeless.
Without further delay, let’s get into the things I’ll be wearing this summer.

This easy, breezy Reformation set. It has to be styled carefully otherwise it reads as pajamas but I love how cute it is. Wearing size 8.

Lace Cardigan + Top (size 10) // Jeans (size 8) // Tote

Dress (size 10) // Bag // Gaspard Cardigan (Size M – I’ve owned this for 6 years!)

This cute linen jacket (L) + matching pants (L).
I also own this little mini by the same brand (size L) – it’s a great little versatile number.
Seen with this raffia tote.

These brown sandals I wear non stop in summer and my trusty Loewe tote.
(Dress is from Veronica Beard last summer – they make such beautiful dresses!)

These trousers I’ve been wearing since 2019. The quality and fit is so great. I own two colors in size 8.
And this great knit tank (size XL).

Jenni Kayne Kinney Dress
The perfect linen midi dress. I loved it so much I bought and kept the black and ivory colorways.
Wearing a size L as it runs a bit small in the bust.
Seen paired with the Avery Crewneck sweater (size M).

And this Loewe tote as well I bought last year in Paris.

This favorite eyelet dress (wearing a L) + sandals.

If you’re not ready for a designer sandal, I recommend this pair that will fit the bill without breaking the bank. (As an aside, I find Talbots shoes to be so well made and so well priced. The pairs I’ve owned are super comfortable and hold up well).

My favorite Staud midi dress (8) that I also own in a variety of other colors. It is *that* good. The perfect ladylike dress.

So many cute jumpsuits! I haven’t found one that works for me yet (being 5’10” doesn’t help), but these options look so good!
I know sometimes J.Crew does things in Tall so worth keeping an eye out! Hope you find a few you like!
Where is the red/white dress from in your last picture with the white jean jacket??
It was from Shopbop last year! Sadly it’s no longer available – sorry!
Great round up and love the J Crew gingham jumpsuit! I’ll definitely be checking that out!
So glad you enjoyed it and hope you get the jumpsuit! I’m eagerly awaiting the arrival of my new one!
I love all of them! Where is the black dress from that is in the picture with your Amazon sunnies and straw tote?
It was from Ann Taylor! It sold out so fast sadly!
Meghan, I’ve recently rediscovered your blog and everything is so great! Love your content and the things you share–love your closet and reinspired to use what I have to repurpose. For example, I have that gorgeous Staud dress in navy, I wore it as a bridesmaid for my sister and have only worn it on special occasions. Going to switch it up for a date night or something more casual!
Thanks!
