I almost exclusively shop online so I wanted to share with you guys where I shop and why. I know shopping online can be really difficult for some but several of my favorite online destinations offer free shipping and free returns making it less of a painful process!

I gave this post a good refresh and hope you’ll find it helpful as you browse.

I’m of course happy to answer any questions you guys may have about the shops shared!

My Favorite Places to Shop Online

Fashion

Everlane: This direct to consumer fashion brand is one of my all time favorites. If you come here often you know this already as I wear their stuff all the time. Their sweaters are such a good price point for the quality and definitely the most worn items I own from them. I’m a size Medium / size 6 in most items but I do size down in their blazers and coats.

Shopbop: Shopbop is probably the place I shop online most often and much of my closet is made up of staples from the brands they carry. Shipping is fast and free and returns are super easy. The reason I shop here the most is because, once you have an account, the functionality of liking (“hearting”) favorite pieces and then Shopbop’s capability of emailing you when those items go on sale. This is great for price matching as on numerous occasions I have bought something only to have it go on sale a few days later. Shopbop will refund the difference if it meets their terms. They’ll also price match if you find the item cheaper somewhere else. Not to mention their email customer service is generally speedy and friendly.

If you prefer to shop on Amazon, you can also now shop a selection of Shopbop there.

J.Crew: A go-to for feminine and classic basics that I get loads of wear out of. I wear and blog about their pieces often.

Madewell: City girl cool and casual looks. I shop Madewell most often in the Fall. I love their jeans, their blazers and coats and their sweaters. I highly recommend joining their Insider program for free perks throughout the year.

Nordstrom: But of course! Free shipping and free (read: painless) returns keep me coming back plus lots of affordable finds and good picks from Topshop. I tend to usually head straight to their New Arrivals and then sort by “Newest.” I also regularly use the Wish List function and love the site’s Gift section for when shopping for family & friends’ birthdays.

Ann Taylor & LOFT: These sister brands always have great sales going on which means I often impulse buy here. I love Ann Taylor for great pants and blazers in particular. I think both brands run a little big as I wear a 4 vs. my usual 6 – just as a head’s up for online ordering.

Net a Porter: I love browsing Net a Porter for up and coming designers, beautiful accessories and casual investment pieces I’ll wear a lot.

M.M.LaFleur: Essential, beautifully made pieces that are great for work to weekend. I particularly love my MM.LaFleur Jardigan and the brand’s Leslie Tee is one of my most worn items.

Sezane: This French brand is a favorite of mine and I wear it often. They offer free shipping and returns to the U.S. with a minimum order that is generally easy to meet and I absolutely love their coats, sweaters and accessories. Read about all The Best Sezane Essentials.

Margaux: Beautifully made and timeless shoe styles that’ll become staples for you – no matter the occasion.

Jenni Kayne: California cool personified. This brand makes gorgeous essential pieces that are investments but will no doubt become fan favorites of your closet. You can read my entire Jenni Kayne Apparel Review.

La Ligne: Another favorite investment brand, La Ligne oozes French girl style. I adore their sweaters and wear them on repeat. Their dresses are also statement makers and sure fire ways to get compliments.

AYR: Stylish staples – from tees and button downs to dresses. They are fashion forward while also being building blocks for your wardrobe.

Emerson Fry: One of my favorite small businesses to support, this woman run brand does limited drops of stylish dresses, breezy blouses and great outerwear, too.

Mango: I am always finding gorgeous, classic pieces at great prices at Mango. I almost always shop here before any trip to find specific pieces, too. Their blazers, knitwear and coats are my favorite in particular. See past looks here.

& Other Stories: My go-to for knits and coats. This brand makes so many of my favorite pieces that are in heavy rotation in my wardrobe. See past looks here.

H&M: Affordable, on-trend pieces when you want to treat yourself. I love browsing their Premium Quality pieces in particular. See past looks here.

Cuyana: I am never not checking out what’s new from this San Francisco based direct to consumer brand. Their pieces are timeless, classic and yet on-trend and modern. I have their totes in 3 colors, I adore their silk tees (styled here and here) and also swear by their travel cases. I give those and the leather accessories and travel staples as personalized gifts often. I cannot recommend this brand enough! See past looks here.

Amazon: I rely on Amazon for most of my book purchases and lots of around-the-house items like miscellaneous kitchen items as well as beauty products and things like candles. I also quite like checking out their new Fashion arrivals regularly. You can shop all my Amazon purchases in my Amazon Shop. My Amazon Prime membership is worth every penny.

Lululemon: A favorite destination for all athletic wear. I love their high neck tanks, leggings and joggers. I wear a size 6 or 8 in the brand usually. See favorite pieces of mine here.

Athleta: I have fallen in love with Athleta of late. Their leggings and sports bras and workout tops have really impressed me. See favorite pieces of mine here.

Club Monaco: I generally feel like I would wear one of everything that Club Monaco carries. I love this brand but I refuse to pay full price 99% of the time. Therefore I often wait till pieces get marked down. This of course means sometimes I miss out on popular items but I figure I probably didn’t need it anyhow ;). Their sale section overall though is usually chock full of goodness. See past looks here.

ASOS: I shop at ASOS when I need a dress for an occasion and I also love browsing their skirts. The prices are all affordable and they make shipping + returns super easy.

Sarah Flint: Exquisitely made shoes that make up a lot of my shoe collection. They are so comfortable and therefore worth the spend in my opinion. Read all about the brand and see my favorite pairs in my Sarah Flint Shoes Review.

Beauty

Credo Beauty: My go-to for rigorously tested and curated clean beauty products. They carry so many of my favorites. Read my post on the Best Credo Beauty Products.

Follain: Another clean beauty-favorite. I wrote more about their offerings and favorite products they carry here.

Sephora: I love seeing what beauty products are trending and shopping their sales several times a year.

Love this!! Are Sarah Flint or Margaux shoes more comfortable/better quality? I discovered Sarah Flint through you about a month ago and already bought 3 pairs!! Love them (I currently live in Europe…from USA though and have to pay a lot in customs and shipping so I do a lot of research before buying or shop during xmas and send to my parents place in California). Just curious as I have read good things about both but would love to hear a comparison.

I think both are comfortable (I don’t mess around with uncomfy shoes at my age!) but I do think Sarah Flint’s padded soles are superior and therefore more comfortable / better for long wear!
