As you well know by now, Fall is my favorite season to shop and invest in pieces that I’ll get loads of wear out. I tend to do a mix of high and low pieces all year round but in Fall I really lean into investment pieces so I can have them for many seasons.
It’s also why I can write posts years later like Clothes in My Closet I Can’t Wait to Wear This Fall linking to items that are still available – because when you invest in classics you’ll have them for so much longer. And, why you see me wear a lot of the same pieces often, in a variety of different ways.
So in the latest installment of Things I’ve Bought and Loved Recently – here’s my Fall edition of what I’ve bought for the new season so far.
Things I’ve Bought and Loved Recently – Fall Edition
If you read my Fall Wish List post you’ll likely recognize several of the items below that I ended up picking up.
AGolde Dark Wash Cropped Jeans
I have this pair of jeans in a classic blue wash and when I spotted this darker wash I just knew they’d get a lot of wear. I bought them in a size 28 and absolutely love them.
Manolo Blahnik Ballerina Mule
These were one of my first investment purchases for this Fall. I love how they look with cropped jeans so much and could see myself wearing them with oversized sweaters a lot this Fall. This color is so unique, too and unlike anything I have currently. See them on here.
Cuyana Easy Tote
Cuyana totes have been my go-to work and carry on bags since 2014 and now they have a gorgeous new design. I think the Ecru color is so chic and love that it would go with everything.
Commando Bodysuit
I love bodysuits under cardigans and blazers because I think it looks more streamlined than t-shirts a lot of the time. I bought this in white first and then bought it in black immediately after because I liked it so much. I sized up to a L (I always size up in bodysuits so they’re not too form-fitting).
B Low The Belt Hook Belt
I bought this belt to add to my belt collection after my friend Kelly styled it. The hook closure makes it a bit more elevated than your average belt closure.
Madewell Booties*
A cute take on the Western boot trend but not *too* Western if you know what I mean.
Madewell Blazer*
The moment this arrived I couldn’t wait to wear it. I love the tonal Fall colors in the fabric. Madewell blazers always fit so well and I tend to size down as I did in this style. Wearing a S.
Sezane Sweater Jacket
One of my bestsellers since I ordered it – you guys agree it is *that* good. See it on here. Wearing a size L.
Madewell Chore Jacket*
Very into cardigan jackets this season and this one from Madewell is in the perfect shade for Fall.
Yummie Shaping Thong
Well this thong is just incredible. Holds in your midsection and smooths everything out! Truly brilliant for under skirts and dresses. May need to buy a few more, stat to be honest.
J.Crew Cashmere Crewneck
A classic crewneck with a great fit. If I were to buy it again in another color I would size up to a Large for a more boyfriend fit.
J.Crew Cashmere Cardigan*
The perfect lightweight knit to throw over your summer dresses. I sized down to a Small.
Lululemon Cates Tee
This lightweight tee is the perfect topper over sports bras. I wer an 8.
Lululemon Classic Fit Tee
Similarly, I love the fit and fabric of this tee. I wear an 8.
Veja Rio Branco Sneakers
I’m not a fan of the all the 90s styles being brought back but I made an exception for these sneakers as I love the brand and I liked the neutral color on these. I think they’ll look cute with cropped denim and cardigans.
The Drop Blazer
If you’re looking for a classic blazer that won’t break the bank – this is a great one. I own it in black and in white.
It runs a bit oversized so if you’re in between sizes I would size down. I got the M and it has a slouchier fit on me.
Halogen Faux Leather Pants
All hail the return of leather weather! I love the fit on these pants having gone up a size to an 8. I can’t wait to wear them all Fall and Winter.
Custom Converse
I follow a lot of cool girls in London on TikTok and Instagram who just kill it in neutral, minimal style. They inspired me to upgrade my high top Converse for a pair that is more “me” (the blue and red piping doesn’t go with a lot of my wardrobe on my current pair). So I went the custom route and the turned out so cool!
For mine I did the following custom selects:
Outside Body: Sand Dune Canvas
Inside Body: Sand Dune Canvas
Tongue: Sand Dune Canvas
Heel Stripe: Natural Ivory Canvas
Lining: Natural Ivory
Stitch: Sand Dune
Lace: Off White
Patch: White
Eyelets: Metallic Gold
Rubber Sidewell: Off White
Racing Stripe: Gum Dark Honey
If you’d like something similar for less, this pair will do it without the custom pricing and lead time.
Be sure you check their sizing guide. The shoes are meant to be unisex and therefore have unique sizing. I am usually a 7 and wear a 4 1/2 in the brand.
Lake Pajamas in Bark
I love my various pairs of Lake Pajamas so when I saw them release this new Bark color – finally a neutral!! – I bought it pronto. I wear a size M in this style.
Bash Paris Jacket*
I love Bash’s jackets. They are investments but they are beautifully made and so versatile. (This one is one of my most worn items! See it on here.)
This cream one sold out pretty much instantly so I am hoping they restock it! I also got the matching skirt because of course I did!
& Other Stories Ruffle Button Down*
The perfect ruffle tee for layering! I love that it has a ruffle at the neck and the sleeves for peeking out underneath dresses and sweaters.
& Other Stories Fleece*
I love the color of this fleece – it is so unique! And super stylish despite being sporty. I first got the 6 but it was too big so I returned it for a 4.
Sezane Striped Tee
I added to my collection of striped tees when Sezane released one of my favorites in a black and ecru color combination. I usually wear a M but this time I got a L for a looser fit.
Sezane Lace Blouse
Definitely my favorite piece I ordered from their first Fall drop. I love how Sezane does lace blouses and wear those I own heavily. This new one is so beautiful and lightweight enough to wear year round. I always size up to an 8 in their tops.
J.Crew Puffer Jacket*
Something about the cut and color (Dusty Ivory) of this jacket really makes it feel more high end than its price point. It gives me Anine Bing vibes actually. I got it in a M and it is perfect.
J.Crew Ruffleneck Sweater*
You know I love a ruffle collar moment so this new sweater had my name all over it. I got it in the cream and will have fun with it as a layering piece this season. I’d size up if you’d prefer it to not be so form fitting.
J.Crew Double Faced Blazer*
This blazer is sort of like my favorite sweater blazer – just as comfy but a bit more elevated. I got it in a size 6 in the Natural color.
Talbots Earrings*
A favorite piece from this recent collaboration are these darling earrings which I am affectionately calling my croissant hoops.
Uniqlo Men’s Cashmere Sweater
Years ago a friend opened my eyes to the benefit of shopping from the men’s section when it came to cashmere sweaters and I’ve been doing so ever since! I like the roomier styles personally. I got a M in this sweater in the cream and I know it’ll be used as a layering piece a lot in the coming months.
Uniqlo Wide Pleat Pant
I hope they restock these pants because they were such a good find! (#TikTokMadeMeBuyIt strikes again!)
Uniqlo Cashmere Beanie
I’m in no rush to welcome beanie weather but when it arrives I’ll be prepared with this cute topper.
. . .
Have you bought anything you’re so excited about for Fall yet? And friendly reminder you can always shop My Closet! I try to keep it updated weekly.

Hi Meghan! Love this post. Wondering if you have a recommendation for no-show socks to wear with low profile white sneakers? (I just bought the Sam Edelman “Ethyl” style.) Thanks!!
You bet! I have these https://amzn.to/3ATsd1D and they’re great. I have also gotten good ones at h&m and gap in the past!
Purchased! Thanks, Meghan 🙂
I absolutely love this post! How serendipitous that I was looking for a black and white scarf and the main photo has the scarf I’m looking for! Thanks so much for sharing such amazing finds.
